Staff was friendly and available at all times, though bathroom in room was a bit messy and strange with the sink being outside in the actual room. Other than that the stay was nice.

great location (don't mind the North Korean Embassy next door), good standard rooms, big breakfast buffet, it's a big hostel with a more anonymous hotel like atmosphere

This is the best hostel ever! I highly recomend it to everybody because of the cleanliness, delicious breakfast, good location and polite staff. Surely, I will attend it next time I go to Berlin! :):):)

Incredibly impersonal, mega hostel. Showers kinda remind me of an old locker room. No place to store valuables or luggage, so everything sits on your bed.

The location is perfect right next to a U-bahn station. The breakfast is also very good. BIG PROBLEM!!! They have BED BUGS... It's disgusting and it can ruin one's night... I found SEVERAL of this disgusting animals crawling around my bed... when I killed them they were full of my blood... Nobody wants to be through that... Even less thinking that you can bring those bloody insects to your home. So I passed my last day washing my clothes, cleaning everything and checking everything....

The wall was too thin and any noises made next room or outside in the corridor can be heard.

Very clean, great breakfast and although the TV didn't work in the bedroom, the staff were really helpful trying to repair it for us! Generally positive experience

For the price you can't beat it...staff is more than helpful. Location is as central as you can get. I would def stay here again...remember its not the hotel Aldon but for $12 a night you just can't beat it. I'm traveling so I just need a base to sleep & shower. Its not a place to hang out unless that's your thing.

CityHostel is a great deal for the money you pay there. Spacious rooms, good internet and a free breakfast in the morning. However, the atmosphere of the place is not great as it has too many common rooms/ big rooms where people get lost. Also the prices at the "bar" are not great. The staff are not super friendly either, but in general is enjoyed what i paid for and had no real issues with the place.

The facilities are quite dated, but it's in a great location and it's not dirty. Great value for money. The bathrooms/toilets work, and the breakfast is pretty good.

I have nothing to complain about this hostel. It's superclean, in a supernice area, with a supergood breakfast. The wifi conection is not that good, but who cares?! Go enjoy Berlin!

Worst hostel ever. Large boring building. No kitchen. No drinking water (you can buy a bottle at reception for 3 euro). Staff doesn't care: they didn't give us towels and didn't tell wifi password until we asked them. Beds were so uncomfortable that i couldn't sleep well. Insuite bathroom was very tiny and dirty. We haven't found any foodstore around. The only good thing is breakfast.

Impressive building, excellent location, just aside two or three metro stations. Above-average breakfast, which was great! OK rooms, and shower-room always dry and clean, which was also pretty good. Bar downstairs with TV, and staff was always helpful - they even printed for me some papers! I'd surely recommend it :D

great hostel with ensuit bathrooms. amazing breakfast and it is very close to all the major tourist attractions. within walking distance. however if you're looking for great nightlife, its in the wrong neighborhood. but it across the street from the U-bhan station and everything is a quick train ride.
