A really nice place to stay if visitng Melbourne for a few days.. not too far out of the city, but much nicer than staying in the centre! Tram stops outside hostel for quick and cheap ride into city centre. Fabulous shops in South Yarra too! Staff are fab, rooms are clean and comfortable with tv! Complimentary breakfast is excellent, would def stay there again!

The only problem was the level of noise at night in terms of doors opening and closing and people needing keys constantly knocking on the doors. I'm not sure what you could do about that, but that was really the only thing that was negative for us as it made sleep difficult.

Really good hostel - very clean, great location being near Chapel street, the train and trams. Not a party place though, but Melbourne has heaps of great bars etc...

Good value for money! Great location: close to train and tram, walking distance to Chapel street. Small rooms, but basics are all there. Free breakfast. Again: good value for money. Would stay there again.

Loved this place! The rooms and bathroom are clean. The staff are nice, it is in an awesome location right next to the train station and Chapel Street. I stayed in the 6-bed female dorm and it was pretty quiet which was great. It was just perfect for me! I will absolutely be back!

I would thoroughly recommend the Claremont for budget concious travellers. We had a relaxing time here and enjoyed all the amenities that the local South Yarra area offered us.
Included in the price is a free continental breakfast which sets you up for the day and free hot drinks on tap all day. I almost got addicted to MILO!
