This was our second time staying at Clarence Castle, and it was just as great as the first. We had the private suite room with the bathroom, and everything was cleaned when we arrived. No complaints! We love the staff (Danny is hilarious) and we'll definitely be going back.

This was our second stay at Clarence Castle and we were extremely happy with the accommodations, from cleanliness to friendliness and location for us was ideal. We plan to be in Toronto more often & won't even consider staying elsewhere. Thanks Danny!

Best place to stay in the city. Very central. Very nice and helpful staff. The room was very clean. If I come back to TO, I will for sure go back to Clarence Castle hostel.

Staff was friendly and helpful, I liked that. Kitchen was sometimes a bit messy and people sometimes used other peoples food from the fridge, but still: fully equited kitchen available! Very nice. Rooms okay, beds long enough, but my room was quite dark and small. Maybe use stronger lightbulbs.

The owner Dany really loves his work. This is a excelent hostel and excelent treatment and location also. The room 2D is also excelent, perfect for a couple of days with your partner. Only one comment: too low preassure of the shower water! Thanks Dany!

The room was ok, but not exactly as the pictures from the website. Our room had no windows and was a bit noisy during the morning. We didn't like that there's not a 24h reception, because sometimes travellers can't choose the time they're going to arrive. Anyway, we thought it was a nice neighbourhood. We also liked that you can see the CN Tower every time you leave or arrive the hostel.

A great hostel - if you take a single room the experience is more that of a hotel, I guess. Nice people, no bed bugs or anything, super clean actually. Staff is fantastic. I felt very welcome. Thanks!

Staff were all helpful but not all friendly (one yes, another no). The place was clean. Very serious atmosphere and little opportunity for guests to meet and interact. Reception booth seems cold and distant, the adjacentt tv room is not inviting and kitchen is restrictive. No info offered about breakfast option, social opportunities and where to go/how to get to places (just offered a map).

very good location, friendly staff, super clean bathroom!!! I stayed only for a weekend so I didn't see much of it, but all in all, it was very satisfying.

I was really easy to find the place (only 20 mins walk from Union station). Not so impressed by the 'Castle' aspect... its a 3-story townhouse, for clarification!

The staff are very friendly, welcoming and obliging to guests. The bedroom (double private) was clean, warm, nice big TV and alarm clock. The showers were powerful with lots of hot water. The kitchen in Clarence 10 - there were signs telling guests to wash up, but the sink was filled with dirty dishes, and it was hard to find a clean cup when I needed one. Looked in dishwasher -no sign that I could see to say dishwasher was out of order, and there was a layer of mould inside the appliance.
