I was very happy with my time in Clifden and the Clifden Town Hostel was the perfect value for money combination. The staff are very helpful and the town is very nice. They keep it very clean. I also enjoyed visiting Letterfrak from there and seeing the Kylemore Abby. A helpful tip though would be to buy any food or drink you need before the evening because restaurants, pubs, and stores close early there.

Extremely nice people run this hostel!!! :) :) We broke our key by accident, and they immediately came and gave an other one and did not have a bad word to us. The kitchen is not suitable for cooking, though. WAAAAAY too small. So do stay here, but restrain from cooking. :-) Try chowder in one of the restaurants instead. :-)

Nice place, nice people! The rooms are simple but irreproachable, kitchen functional (even if the tap is a bit iffy). If you have any leftover meat, don't throw it away, leave it for the cat! ;-)

This is a fantastic hostel! The staff are extremely friendly. They are very helpful and kind, just really unassuming and unconditionally good people. The location is great, right near the bus stop and in the center of town. I found the bed to be comfortable, and I met a lot of really nice people here whom I made friends with. Clifden is a lovely little town off the beaten path, and this hostel is a very fair deal.

Sean is very commited into his business. The building is very clean, and the bedrooms too. Toilets and bathroom very clean as well. Not far from nice walks, Sean lent us a map and explained us a few places to be seen in the area. We absolutely loved this hostel!!

A good accomodation to sleep in Connemara. What you see is what you get, it is just a good place to sleep. Place is clean, bathroom are shared, no breakfast included, free wi-fi. Staff is nice but not always there.
