We stayed two nights in Cliff hotel. The stuff was very helpful, offered us a lot of information about the city, taxi prices etc. It's in the middle of downtown, next to hashem restaurant, very easy to find. It's really basic, but clean and extremaly cheap. If you want nice base for trips around and outside amman, it's the best place.

Very friendly and helpful staff, great atmosphere. I'd definitely stay there again. Breakfast and dinner can be ordered for little money.

The guys running the place were great, very helpful and accommodating. It's in a really great location, just minutes walking. The facilities are pretty average, but seemingly clean. The dorms should have keys (even with a deposit) because they are open to anyone in the hostel. The front door supposedly locks at 12-1am, so that's a bit annoying, as they'll just leave you locked out until morning, or so they told me. It's located between two noisy streets, but I would stay there again.

nice guay in the reception: maybe the nicest guy ever to attend a hostel!

I had two immensely enjoyable evenings at the Cliff hotel. The staff are friendly and extremely helpful, even whilst you butcher their language. The rooms are clean, tidy and perfectly located for the Downtown sights. Additionally the balcony at the front of the hostel makes a great people watching spot and makes socialising with other guests very easy. Will be returning in the next week in order to catch an early flight. Would not want to stay anywhere else in Amman.
