There was a double booking so our beds was not available The staff was quick and friendly and fixed so that we got a better offer for the same price. Location is good and close to communications. A few more showers would help , but othervise good common areas A nice place to stay

Initial reactions were hostile. Phone took money but did not work . Some intercom at every floor atleast would be good

Our room was ok, a little bit small but enough for sleeping. Beds were very comfortable, far more than the average found in hostels. Shared showers not that good: perfect temperature, but not enough pressure. Breakfast was included,... but average; orange juice watery and tasteless. Young and good hostel vibe. The bar is very nice. Location was very good. All in all, I'd say it is a little bit too expensive for what you get, although I think when compared with other hostel in London, it is not.

I spend may last day i n London doing laundry. They have about 300 beds in this Hostel, and only 2 washing machines and 2 Dryers machines, at the time: only one of the driers was working properly. And as I was tolled by other guess and employees alike, they always are malfunctioning . If you go there don't do laundry, you'll spend the whole day doing two loads. I took my clothing out of the laundry machines and it was soaked!!! You pay 3 pounds per wash, and 1 pound for 45min drying time

The hostel is well located, clean and has a good breakfast for English hostel standards. The public staying there is very broad, but this makes it interesting. I can only recommend this place.

Nice Hostel, great bar dowstairs and the staff were really good. THat being said, the shared toilets were cleaned fairly irregularly, so they often smelled pretty bad late at night. The showers facilities were very average as well, while they were clean there was inadequate room for your change of clothes etc and it had to be reset every 20 seconds or so. Other than that, it was a great hostel, particularly handy being so close to Kings Cross station.

Great rooms, nice beds, cool bar (very strict on ID), showers almost too hot (never thought I'd say that about a hostel)! Good spot

I've had a cool stay there. Close to tube (just follow the directions indicated, walking), good breakfast, nice bar to meet other backpackers and the everyday cleaning is a plus. The only down was the lack of space in the bedroom (I stayed in a 8 bed ensuite), but the beds are good and there's this panel separating each bed, so quite private. BIG hostel. The fact that the net is at the ancient court room just adds it some character, together with the movies room. The staff were very friendly.

The female 4 bed dorm ensuite on the 2nd floor was noisy as it faces the main street, and the windows don't have curtains so you definitely need an eye mask to sleep. Apart from this the rooms are very clean, free breakfast is a bonus and the staff are helpful.
