Just had a really random mix of people there. Most hostels have an age limit. We got to our room and there was a construction worker in his 40s who had been living there for 8 months. Also there were plenty of 50 to 60year olds in the hostel bar. Nothing against oldies but weird.
felt like a hotel, really clean, nice breakfest, nice staff
Clink78 is very clean & super friendly. It's a large hostel with various meeting zones: kitchen, bar, lounge, computer room. +Breakfast King's Cross area has somewhat of a bad reputation on safety, but it is getting better. I didn't feel threatened walking to and from the hostel, yet you should be aware of your surroundings. As far as being central and easy to get to other places in London it's a good location. Use your swipe card to get anywhere in the building pass the reception lounge.
Kind of a party hostel. There's a bar below, opening every day. Rooms are crowded, with double decked beds that have a kind of "separating board" and a small locker over your head. They are OK. All rooms and most doors have electronic locks with cards. Breakfast is fine, coffee or tea, plenty of toast with jams, and juices. Staff is nice, and it's easy to socialize in public spaces. NO WIFI ON ROOMS. Some metro and bus stations lay around the hostel, so it s perfectly well connected.
The hostel had almost all ingredients to make my stay as comfortable as possible. The only drawback was the limited space we had in our room to store our luggage. Furthermore I would recommend to have a little shelf in the shower cabins to keep clothes and/or toiletry high and dry.
Great location. Room is a little smelly but it's acceptable. The bathroom is also a little limited but I always take shower in the early morning and never really have problem with it. The bar underground is grear for socializing. Staffs are helpful. Overall, i would not hesitate to come back to clink78 next time i visit London!
I really enjoy my stay at the hostel. There was a small locker on each bed and a light. The room was a bit small for 12 person. The Wi-Fi is just working in the common area... but at least, it's working well!
This place was great! Everything was clean and the staff was friendly. Only drawbacks were outlets were in wired spots, but they are there, and the bathroom (showers) on our floor were being remodeled. Other than that this is a great place to stay in London!
A really cool place to stay at. Clean and Safe with a very artistic iterior. Has everything you'll need!
The dorm rooms were very dirty. The shared bathrooms were also in very poor condition. I would not return to this hostel nor recommend it.

I personally didn't like this hostel very much. The room I stayed in was VERY cramped, and the beds were basically connected. The room was very hot and there was little circulation. The bar area was pretty nice, but the hostel was impersonally large and there wasn't a chilled out area just to hang out in besides the bar. The hostel is huge and has a huge number of people, so not the place to be if you want something more personable and less business-like.
This place is very cool and original. The common spaces are old courtrooms. The dorms are definitely warehouses for travelers, where beds are quite literally pigeonholes all lined up and stacked. The breakfast was great. Bear in mind this is a BIG hostel, so the atmosphere will suffer a little. The bar looked cool. Biggest complaint is the lack of free lockers: I ended up paying 2 pounds a day in their pay lockers. Also, not all the beds had a plug (including mine).
Con: place was loud and right on the street making it hard to sleep at night. beds were uncomfortable too Pro: bathrooms were clean, free breakfast, location was ok

Sheets dirty, rooms too small and cramped, seems like everything has gone out of the window since I last stayed
I thought the room was very cramped even more so than other hostels I have stayed in with just as many in a room. The facilities were quite good though.
Overall a pleasant experience...Not all hostels are as clean or well presented as this one I would recommend it.

An ok hostel. It is too big, simply too many people here - and the vibe isn't that great. A top deck tour meeting point so good for those doing that.
Very secure building, but key card kept de-magnetizing. Overall atmosphere quite loud and busy, even late into the night. Many guests seemed to be quite young. Dining/kitchen/bar facilities were good; no lockers in fridges and had someone take some of my food. Washrooms and showers are cleaned quite often and are very private. Wifi was not at all reliable; only available in common spaces and not in rooms and was kicking us off every 5 mins. Helpful staff overall; had one negative interaction.
The first hostel I was in which I had problem with the card. Not a big deal since they have an atm at the reception. Some of the staff were really nice, some not. I had the impression some of them didnt speak English very well. kinda hot inside the room, breakfast and the bar are amazing!
Funky and upbeat excellent common areas with great cooking facilities and a bar Close to St Pancras International train station Great Staff!
