Location was near King's Cross station. Security is good as access card is needed to enter hostel at nite. Theret is a socket available for each bed for charging electronic item. The reading lamp for my bed did not work though. The bathroom and toilets were clean. The walls are a little thin and can hear noises from outside when people are running up and down in the hallway.

I'd have been fine with the compromises of this hostel and given it a much higher rating if the bathrooms were cleaner and cleaned more often. It's not good to constantly have to use a toilet that has pee on the floor. The showers were annoying but I guess good in the water saving way, but smelt. I'd have rated this really well if it wasn't for the bathrooms (despite the small room and long distance to Kings Cross).

A great place to stay, lots going on, very clean, nice hot showers, friendly staff. A good base for seeing London, a ten minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Beds very comfy. If you are looking for a lively night, then there is a bar in the basement which has music until 2am. This is good if you are wanting to meet other travellers, however, if you are wanting an early or quiet night, then I would advise not staying in the basement as you would be able to hear the music until the bar closes.

Really nice decoration and ambiance, the converted court room is really cool. The beds are really comfy and big and the rooms and building have good security. The only thing I would improve on is that there is not much information for travelers, newcomers to London. It would be great if they had a map with all the main highlights/attractions on it and explanations as to which tube or bus to take to get to them from the hostel. I suppose the staff can tell you this, but they are always so busy.

I had to put my laguage in the lagguage room and when I arrived in the evening, the stuff would have placed all bags in an other room without asking the owner of the bags. The result: A mass like I have not seen it before, many many stolen things amongs which was my beautifull jacket and angry guests, trying to get back their belongings. There was no compensation privided even though it was the hostels fault. I´m very angry about that and will never go there again!

Rooms are incredibly small and the lockers on top of the beds are tiny. Indeed, if you want to keep your luggage save you have to use the paying machines on ground floor. But cause there are only few spots available you will end up throwing your bag in a common luggage room which is not safe at all. That aside, the hostel is a good one and at night time it's fun!

The free breakfast was really nice! The bedroom was nice too (except rude roommates who lit up the light at 4a.m. when everybody's asleep... and think that they are alone!!). I also found that the the youth hostel location was a bit far from the nearest subway station.

The staff at the front desk and the "travel shop" were not helpful and didn't seem to know what they were doing. The rooms are pretty small for 12 beds in one room.
