I was staying there with 2 friends of mine. We were there for 3 nights and I can tell that for me it was one of the best hostel I was ever staying in. In the hostel u have everything u actually need. Staff? Excellent! If you need help, they will take care of you. You just have to ask. They're very talkative and entertaining. Me and my friends, we decided to make a trip to Prague an annual event and from now on I know that we will definitely come back to this hostel.

If you want to sleep over a couple of days and spend you're time on exploring the city hostel is on a good position in the city,3 tram stations from the centre! In the hostel people are ok and will help you with everything you need about PRAHA!Ceanliness is 1/5 so if that is a big issue don't go there :) everything else is ok!!!

WELCOME to the pot hostel! The smell is disgusting! Toilet, shower and room dirty!!!!! I booked doble bed and they gave me 2 beds together! So dont pay extra for twins, just book doble and separate the beds!!! Location fine, but could be better... Easy to reach.

Great hostel for backpackers. Simple, but clean rooms and a good atmosphere to meet fellow travelers. Awesome and helpful staff. Highly recommended.

The best hostel I've stayed in to date. The staff were not only helpful and friendly but a blast to spend time with. Especially Joe and Greg, these guys know how to do their job well. The only bad thing that could be said is that smoking is allowed in the bar - but that is just about everywhere in Prague and at least they had the courtesy to have a rule of no smoking in the bedrooms and in the bar during mornings and during breakfast. Next time I go to Prague I will definitely be staying here.

Could be a nice hostel but cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired. However, it doesn't mean it is the hostel's fault. Common room is nice but dark and the reception/bar is always smelling cigarettes, even early in the morning. Location is ok, 15 minutes walk away from the center.

Clown and Bard was very cheap to stay at, which was why we chose it. But you definitely get what you pay for. The photos of the rooms were very different to what our room actually was. Very old, and bathrooms were very old too. The location was good, we walked to the old town each day. The wifi didnt actually work which was annoying.

The place is good but to go to the room was in the 8th floor by stairs.

Decent enough hostel. Bed was a bit uncomfortable though. Location is 5-7 minute walk from the Metro which will take you into town. Offers breakfast for 50kc, which is very basic. Wifi only available in a corner of the lobby downstairs. Was value for money though.

20 minute walk from old town square. Smoking in the bar was inconvenient as that is the only place to get Internet. Kitchen didn't have proper tools to cook with. Only 4 plates and forks for everyone to use. Breakfast was good. Staff was helpful. Had to pay with cash. Washrooms were decent

The biggest plus of the hostel super nice and helpful staff - all speaking English. The thing I didn't like is that there is bar full of cigarette smoke when you walk in. You have to go through there when going to your room. Other than that: Location is pretty nice, quiet and close to train and bus station. Hostel is actually a hybrid of hostel rooms and regular people living in their flats. My room (6-bed dorm) was nothing special, but ok.

Great place, staff is cool, very laid back atmosphere. The downstairs bar is cool and pretty mellow most of the time which is nice - good place to avoid the pub crawl scene.

Clown and Bard was the perfect place for us to stay while traveling in Prague. The price was extremely affordable, the staff were SO friendly, and the other visitors turned into wonderful friends that we went sight seeing with. After just one day, we felt like we were home. We even ended up staying an extra night! I recommend Clown and Bard to any travelers that are looking for a sense of community and kindness among visitors and employees of Clown and Bard alike.

Its ok but nothing special. Creaking small beds, very old linen (but clean), one morning only cold water for shower... 24h service at reception is very good, several (old) PCs with internet --> good

The rooms can be a little hot, but thats my own fault for trying to sleep off hangovers during the day. Aside from that, the bar/hostel staff are great fun, and keen to help show you around, or let you stay and drink with them. Great atmosphere. Just be careful not to let Anton talk your ear off! :)

Nice hostel. Close to some very good bars which sell great food and beers, also near the ground of the local Prague first division football team Viktoria Zizkov. Would go back, if I ever go back to Prague.
