Facts against: Nothing in the room except a bed and a chair no rubbish bin, table, etc. The photos on website are fake. Walls are broken. Interior is really bad. Easy to see into the room through windows and door. Suddenly no hot water during a shower. Didn\'t specify WIFI is only in bar but not in room in fact the wifi is not even accessible in bar when we use it. Facts for: Staff are very helpful. 4 computers free to use in bar.

The staff in this hostel are the friendliest & most helpful staff I have ever met in a hostel. :) The location is also fab - not far from the metro station. However, I was disappointed that the hostel is badly in need of repair & everything is very old-fashioned / broken. We shared a bathroom with a few other rooms, & it was absolutely disgusting. I think for the money we paid, we should have had a cleaner room, in a better state. With the staff & the location though, you can't go wrong!

Dear Guest, as it is written on our HostelWorld page, our prices do not include city taxes which are 19 czk (~0.70 eur) per person per night. So your price from internet plus 19 czk is 227 czk. Thank you and have a great time travelling! Clown and Bard Staff

The Clown and Bard is GREAT value. A nice and very helpful staff greeted and guided us in town, cheap breakfast every morning, and an excelent lounge. The rooms are pretty clean as well.

I really enjoyed staying here. It was not as clean as some hostel's we've stayed in but it certainly wasnt disgusting or the worst thing we've experianced. The staff was great and so helpful! Also the breakfast was the best meal we'd had in a long time!

Staff are really friendly and helpfull. Bathroom and kitchen are acceptable. I think more lights should be added in small dorm. It is a little bit dark. Tram stop to the hotel from Husinecka is nearer than Lipanka. You should write this in the direction

The atmosphere in the basement is very nice but is too smoky. The bar serves great beer. The rooms are cosy and clean. The bathroom is too cold but clean. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and the breakfast is AMAZING!!

If there was one word I\'d use to sum up Clown & Bard, it\'s \"punkish\". The overall cleanliness leaves a lot to be desired, although I didn\'t notice bed bugs or such during my stay. The bed didn\'t look so appealing at first, but when I put on the clean linens provided by the hostel it was serviceable. Slept well. The location of the hostel is great, pretty near the main station. The breakfast is cheap and OK. You leave the keys at the 24h reception, which is neat. Wouldn\'t recommend for families

There was NO HEAT OR HOT WATER for duration of the trip, and a broken window allowed cold outside air to enter. The wifi- a service that was advertised and paid for, never worked - a situation that was handled very unprofessionally by hostel staff. When staying in hostels, it is understood that it will not be perfect, however of the few services that we do expect, such as a warm place to sleep and a hot shower were not provided. I wouldn\'t recommend this hostel to anyone.

very chill place with a great staff that is very friendly and puts on events. the bar is a good place to meet other travellers to go out with. the only thing is that the place is a little smoky, which could be annoying for non smokers, but then again your in europe.

lit très peu épais. attention : à l'arrivée on nous facture une taxe de séjour de 19czk par nuit par personne qui ne figure pas sur le site hostelworld. sinon bonne auberge de jeunesse avec une ambiance d'auberge de jeunesse.

Probably the most fun hostel I've ever been to. It's the kind of place where the staff is a family and invites every guest to be a part of it. There's a bar right next to the reception and I spent most of my nights hanging out there with the staff instead of going out to expensive bars/clubs. It's pretty clean, organized, and only about a 20-minute walk from downtown. My only complaint is that the showers were cold most of the days.

Cool atmosphere (bar/reception area was smoky, but the rooms were fine), good kitchens and bathrooms, helpful staff, fairly good location, and so many friendly people staying there! I would definitely stay here again.

Worst hostel I have ever stayed in. When we arrived at the hostel, the man behind the desk tried to charge us 30 euro more than what was stated in the confirmation email and was very rude when I tried to show him the email stating that it was in fact 30 euro less. He refused to budge until we threatened to go to another hostel. The room was extremely unclean and the bathroom was even worse. Luckily, one of the women that work there was very nice and helpful- she was the only good thing about it.

Dear Guest, We would like to extend our apology for any inconvenience during your visit with us. Any time there is some misunderstanding of payment or comfort of stay, we aim to improve. All of our staff have been a part of the team for quite some time and it is very rare that there would be a complaint of over charging, unless there was confusion between parties. At any rate, we are sorry that your visit with us was unsatisfactory and hope it has not overshadowed your visit to Prague. We wish you a nice time during the rest of your travels.
