Cobwobs Hostel is one of those rare places that gives travellers the opportunity to see local life up close. The owner, Rob, invited us along to a barbecue and tuicia drinking with the locals, told us the best places to eat and drink and was easygoing in regards to internet usage, checking out etc. Definitely the best hostel I have stayed at.Cobwobs Hostel is one of those rare places that gives travellers the opportunity to see local life up close. The BEST hostel I have visited so far.Rob went out of his way to help make my stay in Sighetu as enjoyable as possible,picking me up from and taking me to the train station. This has been one of my favorite hostels. The staff are extremely helpful and very friendly. The location is great, and the hostel is very clean. Maramures should be on every traveller's itinerary and it's made even more alluring by this friendly and comfortable hostel, placed perfectly in town but surrounded by lush gardens and fruit trees. Rob and Lia are the consumate hosts, providing information on the beautiful scenery, wooden churches, local restaurants and bars as well as fascinating jaunts across the border to Ukraine.
