Great place with clean and tidy rooms, comfy beds, good location surrounded by good local food, and within walking distance of the Jetty and local bus station where you can get a ride to the airport for just MYR $ 2.7 The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpfull.

You guys have a really nice hostel. So a lot of credits for that. Only i missed a social area and the WiFi is not great, but that are all firstworld problems. So keep on going

Cocoa Mews is located right in Little India with many cheap food options around as well as all the convenience stores you need. The staff was gorgeous! They helped me with everything, gave some insider advice and were always super friendly! Security is very good since they have a electronic card you swipe for entering after the staff is off shift. Everything was clean and tidy, only the wooden floors were very noisy when someone walked on them. Free water and breakfast. BIG recommendation!!!

Very helpful staff, dorm was clean and finally not rock-hard beds. Unfortunately not any real common room, otherwise really good and cheap for what you get.

Cocoa Mews was probably the best place I stayed in Malaysia. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are super comfortable, the prices aren't bad at all, and the neighborhood around it is great.

Great place, highly recommendable. Hosts are incredibly helpful and keen to give advices on what to see and how to get there. Definitely pay a lot of attention to their guests. Place itself looks nice and cozy, located in old building with wooden floors. Free local coffee!

The location is central which is good, there are no toilets or bathrooms in the floor where the dorms are, quite uncomfortable if you need a wee in the middle of the night :) Also, the internet doesn't work in the dorms either which is quite annoying. Nothing great about this hostel, but still OK.

The hostel is located in little india so quite close to chulia street, whivh is one of the most populated streets in georgetown.however, king street at night is quite dark.rooms door, easy to be opened by everyone, without a key. No safety box. Cleanliness was very poor:we stayed 3 days and they did not clean our room even once. We found hairs on the sheets, towels and sheets were so thin so useless. The bed was very UNCONFORTABLE we could barely sleep and ait condition very noisy.DO NOT CHOOSE IT.

This is a small well run hostel/hotel in the heart of old Georgetown, I found the staff to be very helpful when I was there and they promptly replied to an e mail requesting information prior to my arrival. Some of the rooms and the dorm do not have windows, so if this is a problem it may be better avoided. There are many excellent cheap restaurants in the vicinity so there being only a microwave and coffee making facilities I found not to be a problem. I will happily stay there again when I

Beds were uncomfy but 8 bed dorm was spacious. Close to ferry in little India. Poor WiFi. Would only recommend for an overnight stay, a bit far from the attractions. Street art close by tho'.

My room (2 single beds / double decker) smelled really bad. The room is extremely small and bare. Location of air conditioning didn't make any sense. Located next to the top bunk bed at a parallel angle.

The dorm smells funny and the light is not working in the shower room. I recommend some air freshener place in the dorm. Also invest in a water dispenser rather than boiling water every time. It saves energy and its efficient.

This hostel is very well-organized, clean and in a perfect location. The staff is great, especially Anton (or Antun) who creates a welcoming atmosphere by himself. The thing missing there is a commune areas and things to do so people can hang out and socialize. Also, the wifi is pretty weak for a 3-story building.

Very friendly staff, comfortable and clean rooms with TVs and DVD players (!), excellent location. The only thing is that the kitchen smells a bit funny.

You get what you pay but good for value. It's on the a little India street so many cheep and yummy Indian rest around. Close to everywhere. But it can be noisy with Indian music down the street late evening. 8 mix dorm is big and aircondition works very well. Bathrooms are cool at the top floor. Stuff are helpful and really worth to stay if you re on a budget!
