Great hostel, located downtown in a historic building with wooden floors. In the top dorm with 8 beds you even have a nice balcony. Also the staff is really nice.

Fab little hostel. Can't fault it- kept staying longer than intended..!

The hostel.....is not very clean. The bed is not comfortable. And the blanket is not sufficient. The pillow is very very thin, I doubt people who used to thick pillow will be able to catch a good sleep. The mattress.....is quite dirty, you can see black little dots on it. And if you sleep with black shirt / pants, you wake-up with it in grey colour. Cleanliness is the most unsatisfied thing. Toilet doesn't have enough place to put thing.

We came late and the host was kind enough to stay up for us to allow us entry. Also happily showed us places of interest and suggested itinerary on a map, which was useful. Cleanliness definitely needs improvement. Hair and stains on the bed sheets and clogged bathroom drainage are not acceptable in my books. The air conditioning unit in my room gave off a funky smell too. All in all, a pleasant stay and location was good. You do get what you pay for.

Good Hostel, clean forms. Fridge and microwave so you can make your own food. Location is great, lots of Indian food around. You get 3 different free maps which are helpful to explore the city. The bathroom is one floor lower than the dorm, but all in all that's no problem. Plus the dorm has a balcony!

Could really use a common area. Great location and excellent price though. It is probably best suited to groups of couples not in the mood for meeting people.

Great place with clean and tidy rooms, comfy beds, good location surrounded by good local food, and within walking distance of the Jetty and local bus station where you can get a ride to the airport for just MYR $ 2.7 The staff is very attentive, friendly and helpfull.

You guys have a really nice hostel. So a lot of credits for that. Only i missed a social area and the WiFi is not great, but that are all firstworld problems. So keep on going

Cocoa Mews is located right in Little India with many cheap food options around as well as all the convenience stores you need. The staff was gorgeous! They helped me with everything, gave some insider advice and were always super friendly! Security is very good since they have a electronic card you swipe for entering after the staff is off shift. Everything was clean and tidy, only the wooden floors were very noisy when someone walked on them. Free water and breakfast. BIG recommendation!!!

Very helpful staff, dorm was clean and finally not rock-hard beds. Unfortunately not any real common room, otherwise really good and cheap for what you get.

Cocoa Mews was probably the best place I stayed in Malaysia. The staff is very helpful, the rooms are super comfortable, the prices aren't bad at all, and the neighborhood around it is great.

Great place, highly recommendable. Hosts are incredibly helpful and keen to give advices on what to see and how to get there. Definitely pay a lot of attention to their guests. Place itself looks nice and cozy, located in old building with wooden floors. Free local coffee!

The location is central which is good, there are no toilets or bathrooms in the floor where the dorms are, quite uncomfortable if you need a wee in the middle of the night :) Also, the internet doesn't work in the dorms either which is quite annoying. Nothing great about this hostel, but still OK.

The hostel is located in little india so quite close to chulia street, whivh is one of the most populated streets in georgetown.however, king street at night is quite dark.rooms door, easy to be opened by everyone, without a key. No safety box. Cleanliness was very poor:we stayed 3 days and they did not clean our room even once. We found hairs on the sheets, towels and sheets were so thin so useless. The bed was very UNCONFORTABLE we could barely sleep and ait condition very noisy.DO NOT CHOOSE IT.
