Good room and helpful staff. The only problem was that my room wasn't locking, but nothing bad happened.

We had a wonderful stay at Colebrooke House. It's an easy 10 minutes on the bus from the city centre, or a £5 private taxi ride. It is a house and there isn't signage as some of the reviews have said. If you want to stay in a hotel - be prepared to pay double! Paul is friendly, helpful and welcoming, there is free food provided and the place is very clean. We would stay again.

Colebrook house is a very nice place to stay. Paul, the owner, is very helpful and talkative. The guest house is located about 20min by foot from the city center or a few minutes traveling with the bus 82. Free food is available in the fridge and there is free wifi.

I stayed two nights at Colebrooke House with my wife, child and my paretns. The best place we have ever stayed. I want to say special thanks to Mr Paul, the owner and the manager of the Colebrooke house for his great hospitality. We booked 2 bedrooms. We had a lovely stay at this place. The best thing was the kitchen facility, the fridge was loaded with plenty of free food. Rooms were very clean, we never felt we were away from home.highly recommend this place if u like a homely atmosphere

Not really a great experience. A very loud "screaming" radiator in the night, and a "hole" in the mattress, etc. In general I'm used to get a much more better and comfortable experience when paying 60 pound (or the equivalent money in Euro) for a hostel room.

Please provide lockers for the guests. Cleanliness needs to be addressed, starting by cleaning the rooms, providing real pillows instead of sofa cushions, toilet accessories were filled with rust. Rediculously over priced for quality. Avoid by all means.

The owner of the hostel, Paul, was incredibly friendly and talkative, and was able to talk at length about our mutual love of Liverpool FC! Couple with extremely good public transport links via Merseyrail and the 80 bus, it's a nice, relaxed place to stay.
