Very nice staff. Feels like you're home. Owner even got up at 5 o'clock in the morning to say goodbye to us.

Great hostel. They had people working with them that were traveling, so you have lots of resources. The salsa teacher is awesome, and you can't beat a free beer at check in. They really try and accommodate any way they can.

I came to this hostel with high expectations after it was awarded best hostel in Colombia. In my time backpacking Colombia I can easily say this is nowhere near the best hostel in the country, let alone even Cali. The atmosphere is quite boring, imagine staying at your grandparent's place in an outer suburb. They have more 'rules' than any hostel I've ever been to. And no A/C! So hot, could barely sleep.

Mr. Zachary Sta. Alexandra You arrived at 4pm and left at 8am the next morning. 16 hr in total. - 18/02/14 to 19/02/14. If you spent 10 hr sleeping, spending 6 hr awake. then ?? Yes, Colombian Hostel has restrictions, no drugs and no sex in the dormitories. sorry if you usually do this in other hostels. Here, guests take part in different activities during the day and, at night, take salsa lessons together before all going out together. must be integrate

One of the best hostels for creating a vibe and a family especially when travelling alone. The staff are someof the friendliest I have met especially Phoebe, if only Cali had more to offer during the day I would have stayed here longer and the breakfast changes daily which is nice. Perfect place to stay if you want to learn salsa and make new friends

This is a fab hostel. Staff are awesome, the place is extremely clean, huge kitchen, great vibe, free salsa and wide, comfy beds. We had fun going to salsa in the evenings with others in the hostel. Highly recommended if you are sociable and are in Cali to have a good time doing salsa and meeting people.

I would like to outline the kindness of the staff! They gave us alls the information a traveler can need and even provided us with a breakfast for in the bus back to ecuador!

This hostel is excellent. If is impeccably clean, has fast wifi and a large kitchen. The hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and took us all out on Saturday night to their friends house for a BBQ then salsa dancing. I stayed at El Viajero previously and prefer this hostel much more due to the friendly atmosphere and cleanliness. The location that is slightly further to the south does not really matter as taxis are incredibly cheap in Cali. Highly recommended.

Lovely people! Lovely and safe place. Is like having a family away from home. They serve you the breakfast in the morning... Is so cool and nice. specially after so much party in Cali is nice to eske up and have coffee and a good breakfast ready. Love the salsa classes- they are free and fun. It gets the people together and ready to go out to have fun! Def recommend. Try any other expensive hostan the come here and you will see you feel better here and will come back for sure! And for more!

Very good family run business. You can also practice Spanish, the good thing about the staff is that they help you learn and are very helpful in getting around the city. It's a place I am happy to go back to

It is a very nice hostel to stay in. The owners are nice and 24/7 willing to help you. Rooms are clean and there is a nice rooftop terrace. However, the hottub was not cleaned. Salsa lessons are offered daily and afterwards you can practice them in a nightclub. Only downsite of my stay was that someone broke one of the hostel rules and instantly the cops were called. This resulted in a noisy night, which in my opinion was unnecessary. Nonetheless, I had a very nice stay...

Location requires cab -at least at night- to get to the much more interesting St. Antonio District for ~ 5000 Pesos. Generally safe appearing neighborhood (though I got robbed when hiking up the hill behind the Hostel for ~ 1/2 hour - I was stupid) . The hostel as such is in a good neighborhood. Clean, owner and sister who run the place very nice and helpful. Breakfast pretty barebone. Worth the price.

Colombian Hostel is a very good alternative in Cali. It is not in the actual center, but it is in a nice area also close to some restaurants and bars and sights are also easily reached. Mauricio is the soul of the hostel and makes everybody feel welcome and always tries to make everybody happy with their stay. I never seen such a dedicated hostel owner. There a lot small details which make your stay great (welcome beer, good kitchen, nice terrace, salsa lessons). Only the beds are a bit hard

Salsa classes are free but they were only offered only a few times a week. I was expecting more. That was the only complaint! Other than that, it is the best hostel I've stayed during my trip!
