A nice place to stay when coming and going from the airport. Friendly and helpful staff. Can help organise onward travel but don't let the convenience of that stop you from arranging your own adventure, it's part of the fun!!

We asked for a taxi to Sigirya for 90 USD and the taxi driver said that It was too far away and he would only get us to Kandy for the same price (which checking out some pages looks very expensive). He insisted in taking us to some friend's hostel when when we said very clear that we already had a reservation. They are responsible for the quality of the taxi drivers they provide so the review is not good.

The Colombo Airport Hostel is a great place to start your vacation. Get over your jet lag, meet some fellow travellers & the staff will help you get your bearings around the country. Highly recommended. Very Safe & secure. And a gorgeous home.

clean, dormitory accommodation. a bit chaotically run, and not all that close to the beach, but a good option for a stopover before or after the airport.

Rooms we have booked were initially unavailable, but after we complained, they appeared to be available.. Rooms were dirty and full of insects..

Great cheap place close to the airport, it's a big house and has 24 hours guarding. Only negative point is it is a bit away from the restaurants/shops area, no more than 5 minutes though. Good place to spend the last few hours before flying home, 10 minutes by car from the airport!

This is what I envision a good hostel to be. Like a second home where one can enjoy the stay relaxing during the heat of the day. The staff is excellent.

This was my first experience staying in a hostel and I was throughly impressed. At $10 a night this was a bargain. The rooms were clean, had mosquito nets, and the bathroom was also very clean with plenty of warm water. My favorite part was the authentic cooking. The ladies at the hostel made meals and they were what I would imagine a local typical meal would be. Rice and curry in the evenings, and sri lankan omelet in the morning. Also I must mention that the staff was very friendly!

Perfect option for those arriving or leaving Sri Lanka! It's a huge house, super clean, nice location. The lady in charge was ultra helpful (awesome sense of humour, by the way!). Recommended!!

good hostel which gets a friendly crowd of international tourists. facilities are basic but the complementary (basic) breakfast and reasonably priced home cooked lunches and dinners are a bonus. the staff are extremely friendly but insanely disorganized... booking systems/invoices/official records are rarely more than a handwritten sheet or scrap of paper torn from the corner of a book. expect to have to move multiple times if you stay longer than 1 night.

Hostel is nice enough - very clean and beautiful. Staff needs to be more organized. When we arrived, they had no idea about our reservation despite getting a confirmation text AND email. Location is pretty good, maybe a 10 minute walk to the beach. I would recommend not booking a hostel in advance as there are many, many guesthouses in the area, so it's pretty easy to find a room.

Very good and kind staff.Neet and clean.I could rarely see busses anywhere nearer to hostel. There are costly and cheeper hotels. We have to choose.Do not miss Aappam and Idiappam for breakfast or dinner with coconut milk or Fish curry

lovely house and very friendly staff. free breakfast and tea is a bonus. we stayed in a private double room which was fine, but there are "dorm" beds in the corridors/communal halls which i wouldn't want to stay in, there is zero privacy. not very safe either, being accessible to everyone. while we were there, there was in fact a break-in, several items like shoes and even a laptop were stolen. they reinforced the window grids right afterwards so i suppose it shouldn't happen again...

Stayed for a night and I enjoyed it. Staff were really friendly. They even offered free meal and coffee. Very helpful in arranging for a private car for a day tour in muthurajawela marsh. I will definitely stay here again if I come back to Sri Lanka

Excellent and friendly staff. You can get all day food very cheaply (30% of normal price on the street). Nice place. 4 min walk to ocean.

Great deal for the money. A tiny bit of a walk to the shops, beach restaurants on Negombo Road, but close enough. About a 50 Rupee tuk-tuk ride. Close to airport. The woman who runs it is really nice. Great atmosphere to meet other travelers. Felt very safe. Clean. Wifi. Spacious.
