In total it was an amazing experience. The staff is really nice and everyone tries to help you with whatever you need. I met the owner and she is super nice. One staff member seemed a bit iffy on being able to speak Spanish or English which was difficult but someone else was always there to help. Also the rooms do get a bit cold and night. A heater might be a great thing to offer.

It's a very interesting property. The breakfast for $3.50 was fantastic! It would be of note that the "twin shared private" is a room with one double bed (we were expecting a room with two twins). The staff were very friendly but most of the regular staff spoke very little English and the staff casual staff who spoke English well were actually volunteers staying at the hostel for free so didn't know much about Quito or the hostel. The washrooms could be cleaned more often, had a bit of an odour.

Our room had a view of the basilica, amazing!

Huge old building in a great spot in the old town of quito. We had a private room out in the garden which was big (two double beds) and quiet. The hostel is quite big - there are lots of different rooms, its a bit of a maze, but it never felt crowded and had quite a relaxed vibe. I think there were three kitchens and also lots of sitting areas. Bathroom was ok - not possible to have water pressure and hot water, but that's not unusual! Wifi worked well and staff were friendly and helpful.

The staff are excellent they organised tours for us, it's a quiet hostel about 15 min wall from the main plaza, breakfast is well worth the $3, the only drawback is the cold showers

overall good hostel with good location. The draw back is lack of enough glasses and cups for hot drinks.

Its great to stay so close to Old Town in Quito and this hostel is all great value for money. I rated staff as average as if you get one of the full time members of staff they are really great and can help you with everything. They also have lots of volunteers who just have the information from a book so it can be a bit more hit and miss getting help from them. But overall this was a great hostel and base for Quito.

worth to stay, breakfast is the best and everzything was really clean. You just have to hike a little mountain and on sundays its kind of hart to find food around the hostel - BUT DEFINTELY WORTH TO STAY THERE

great atmosphere, loved this colorful place! We felt at home, so ended up staying 5 nights. The hostel is next to the market, so you can buy fresh products and cook them in their kitchen. Also, the laundry service is a big plus!

Nice big dorm room and a decent hot shower. One of the quietest sleeps that I've had in a while. Breakfast was definitely worth paying for. No real atmosphere as the common spaces were kind of spaced out. Would stay again if I wanted a relaxed, quiet place.

Stayed in a double room, lots of space. Bed was very comfortable.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Room large and clean. Downside is the breakfast was not great. The location was a little unsafe at night but quiet.

The staff here were all excellent. But the hostel is in a part of the Old Town which isn't near anything. I was there fora week and most of the buildings in the surrounding streets were closed each day. One decent restaurant, only open for 4 hours at night. Most frustrating is the complete lack of a place to securely store your belongings. Had to keep passport and money belt locked in owners chest of drawers. Breakfast is excellent. Hot water in shower on third floor only.

Fantastic location and brilliant value for money. Staff very helpful

Great breakfast! Friendly, bi-lingual staff. Only downside is the hot water drip.

Very nice building in Old Town Quito. Great backyard with hammocks to relax. Guys who work the front desk were super helpful. Excellent security but a little lacking in atmosphere. Don't recommend the dorm room as there is only one and it is quite small and a little awkward!

The staff were extremely helpful and cheerful, the hostel in General were great in accommodating our needs, especially as we arrived in the early hours of the morning and we had to cancel two nights, they were so fast and easy to communicate with and I wish all hostels were ran like that.

Excellent environment to be in, great and inviting staff, and a lot offered both in and out of the hostel. The breakfast is inexpensive and extremely delicious, and the rooms were spacious. Appreciated the organized tours and excursions offered through the hostel as well. I would definitely recommend this hostel to anyone, young or old.

This hostel had everything I needed and was comfortable, quiet and great value. Service also excellent.
