This was a really nice hostel. It was very clean, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go back. I wish this hostel provided a light breakfast.

This hostel is probably the cleanest place in Hualien. The staff was so amazing they really went out of their way to help me. The meeting area downstairs is great for meeting people. The whole hostel is so relaxing and laid back. I left with great friends (that I later met up with in Taipei). All around, a great experience.

The owner and employees were so friendly and helpful! Can advise on tours, maps, etc. for Taroko Gorge visitors. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. I would definitely return.

Colourful Taiwan ist ein sehr nettes, sauberes Hostel mit netten, hilfsbereiten und kinderfreundlichen Mitarbeitern. Das Hostel liegt ein bisschen entfernt vom Zentrum, aber es gibt ausreichend Garküchen, einen sehr guten Nachtmarkt und Supermärkte in Laufnähe. Ein bisschen überraschend waren die lauten Flugzeuggeräusche durch Militärflieger, die tief über Hualien flogen. Aber die Dauer sowie Anzahl hielt sich in Grenzen.

The atmosphere is great and the staff is really helpful and I had a lot of fun to be with them. They offer a city tour guide and bicycle renting service. You can make your own group with people in the hostel to visit places near the city. The hostel will get you a local driver who is also a great tour guider.

I had a great time at Colorful Taiwan. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. The hostel is extremely clean and has a very home-like feeling. It was a great atmosphere for meeting people. The hostel is in a very quiet road, and about 5 mins walk to the main road where one can find lots of places to eat at. The beds were so comfortable and clean. I hired a towel and also very clean, could smell the nice washing liquid/softener used. Overall, the attention to detail was spectacular.

The staffs are very friendly and helpful. The place is clean and quiet.

A nice hostel and worth to come again if got chance to visit Hualien.

The hostess is really nice,!she told us everything about hualian in detail, and help us organize the trip in hualian to save time and money, was really helpful for armature!

i loved the spacious room and the attached bathroom that came along with it. The hostel was cleaned thoroughly every day during my stay there and that's a major plus point for a hostel. I love the wall deco in my Audrey Hepburn room! Sunny and Gloria were very helpful in sharing with us the travel information. In all, I loved how spic and span the entire hostel was kept and also facilities were good too! :) Will definitely go back to Colorful Taiwan when I go back to Hualien! :))

I had a pleasant stay in this hostel, clean room, well equipped kitchen, and nice and helpful staff. It's not far from the night market and other eateries. only a short walk from the train station. highly recommended.

Probably the best hostel I've yet stayed in. Very clean, neat and a great staff who helps with recommendations on things to see, eat, etc (especially Jasper). Beds were comfy, great community spaces, and all the facilities expected of a hostel. The location also couldn't be better (right next to the main train station) in easy walking distance of nearby sights, restaurants and MRT line to go anywhere in the city. Stayed in 3 hostels in Taiwan, and this is definitely the one I would return to.

I visited for a quick two night stay (one full day @ the Gorge). After our long train ride from the south, it was nice to be extremely close to the train station (also where the bus to the Gorge picks up). It was very easy to find. The hostel was bright and very clean. The staff was very helpful with easy food and drink recommendations (as well as options for the Gorge for the next day). Rooms and bathroom were spotless, beds comfortable. Security is standard. No cpmplaints!
