This hostel is easily the best place to stay while in Berlin. It's right in the heart of Kreuzberg and the U-Bahn is steps from the door. But even on days when you're too hungover to go anywhere, it's a great place to be. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the layout makes interaction almost a requirement. It's very easy to make friends and be social here. It's always clean and the staff are all incredibly helpful and wonderfully kind. Man kann hier keinen Heimweh haben. Also, Matze is the best.

Great location situated by Kottbusser Tor - covered by 2 good U-Bahn lines. Easy for day and night. We went whilst the Berlin Festival was on, so not many people in our hostel were hanging out. Generally it would be good if the hostel did a little more to integrate people as it seemed people were quite separated in their groups and mixed much less than other hostels I'd been in. Even if this means just starting off a few games in the evening. "Good" hostel but not a "great" hostel.

If, choosing a hostel, you pay attention to Wifi - consider this has none. There is more chance to catch a free wifi spot on the street than to connect too the Web in this hostel. The staff seems fully aware of that (there is a note explaining that if there's no Internet it's the fault of people using it too much) and still the advertisement claims that free wifi is provided.

The staff were very friendly and helpful! The common room and terrace were really cool places to hang out and it was easy to meet people, really good atmosphere most of the time! However in terms of cleanliness, the toilets could have definitely done with more cleaning. In terms of value for money, this place is great-really affordable and a cool place!-I would recommend.

Had a great stay here. They need to fix the wifi though - it is basically non-functional. You can connect, but maybe for every ten minutes online you get about 30 seconds of usable connectivity. Everything else is great though - great location, great staff, great crowd. Highly recommended.

Overall we had a pretty good stay. The beds were comfortable and the 6 bed rooms didn't feel crowded. The common area and balcony were great. Staff were variable. Internet connection is terrible. The bathrooms were the worst part. The shower curtains are small and need a clean but the wet floors are the main problem. There's absolutely nowhere dry to change in the bathrooms and if you drop anything it will be soaked. Easy fix would be to leave a mop in there so we could at least dry it ourselves

Would highly recommend anyone to stay here. Great common area, very social atmosphere. I am travelling solo femals and Great for solo travelers. Loved my time here and am thinking of heading back to stay there again. Location is in a really cool part of the city right next to U-Bahn, cafés and RESTURANTS all close proximity and surrounded by lots of Berlin street art. Door to hostel can be hard to find.

Decent hostel. Nice location, fair prices, but not too clean and most people are party people that just hang out inside the hostel while there is so much to see and do in Berlin. There are cleaner hostels in Berlin for the same price and cheaper, there are cozier hostels and there are hostels with an even better location. The free coffee is nice though, and the fully equipped kitchen, fridge etc. aswell!

Excelent for party people!!!

A bit more of a bare-bones hostel compared to some, but the atmosphere in the common room was very good. The place is hard to find, with an unlighted sign on the odd little island of shopping/restaurants next to the traffic circle. Note: though they advertise wifi, don't expect to get it unless you're the only person in the building. I'd rather they didn't advertise something that simply doesn't work. Go to the coffee shops just outside the door for your internets.

The bathrooms could have been a little cleaner. However, the hostel staff was very helpful and very friendly. It's located near the train station which is a huge plus and the bars around the area were pretty cool. The lobby area is a great place to meet people and hangout and relax. Overall I liked staying at Comebacpackers and you will too! Happy travels =)

The location is good. There are restaurants, cafe, fruit market near by. Atmosphere is good. Peple there are club/party people. But the wifi is toooooooooo slow and the shower and kitchen is a bit dirty. Overall is okay.

This is my second time staying at Comebackpackers and I would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in the Kreuzberg area. Friendly staff that are always ready with recommendations of things to see or do, and the hostel itself is efficiently run and cleaned every day. Good kitchen facilities as well, and a large communal area that is great for meeting people or chilling on the terrace. Reasonably priced bar, free coffee and wifi. See you next year :)

Absolutely loved this hostel, the staff were great and the atmosphere was fantastic. The area of kreuzberg is the best to stay in, and the location couldn't have been better. I was travelling alone and this was perfect for that, I met so many people. The common areas make it so easy to be sociable, and I found I spent most of my time there - especially the outside roof terrace. Great location, great people and just a great hostel overall - I'm 100% coming back.

I had an amazing time here. It was my second time in Berlin and I loved staying in Kreuzberg more than in other parts of the city. The hostel had a very social atmosphere and the rooftop terrace was an added bonus. Being from New Zealand it was amazing to have a BBQ after 3 months backpacking. Only downsides were that the wifi did not work in my room (it did work in some however) and that you couldn't bring your own alcohol to the hostel.

Comebackpackers hostel was great, the atmosphere was really relaxed and chilled. Very easy to meet other people if travelling solo. The staff very friendly and approachable, will go out the way to help you with anything! The facilities are okay but what do you expect for self kitchen facilities. The rooms was spacious and wasn't to loud to sleep, overall I would recommend this hostel.

Great staff explained to me in detail things to do in the city and where to eat, etc which was really nice! Hostel is close to the Tallink terminal (10-15min walk). Negative point is the dirty floor in the room, dust evrywhere. And we have to take off our shoes so ppl end up with black feet. The shower has no door and no bathrug so water spreads in the entire bathroom. And when you go to the toilet, your black feet leave a trail of mud and dirt :( also there's a sewage smell that's permanent!!

Great hostel with friendly and helpful staff for the most part. You're likely to meet other people in the common area, it has a great atmosphere, and it is more than 100% worth the price you pay for it.
