Not as community oriented as I thought from reviews - might have been the people there at the particular time I was in addition to the multi-story layout. Definitely have stayed in better hostels in South America.

The hostel was good. Nice big, warm, comfy beds. But often got quite loud on the 3rd floor. The staff tried to be helpful, but gave poor directions and gave wrong information for bus schedules and times. Also while I was there they forgot to extend a guys night as he requested and then it was fully booked so he had to go find another hostel at 7pm that night after hiking all day 😀 would stay again cause of price and location, but staff needs to try a bit harder...

I really recommend this place!

Awesome hostel! Definitely one of the best we've stayed out in South America. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to help you. Located in a nice part of town, right across the road from an amazing market. It does get quiet on a night when the shops close but we didn't find it unsafe at all. Clean, good kitchen, and the tours are excellent. Would definitely recommend!

Large, spacious hostel on 3 floors in a building close to the center of Old Town. Comfortable beds and very nice and clean bathrooms. Wifi was great, consistent hot water, but water pressure was lacking in the morning. Up to date kitchen favilities and the breakfast and dinner were terrific. Only fault is there are only 3 bathrooms for all guests, creating some problems.

A good location nearby old town. They organize free old town guided tour daily. Must try! The only draw back it the toilet is not quite enough. Only one in each floor. May wait on a line in peak hour.

Top notch hostel, beautiful food, great atmosphere and a nice location. Best hostel in SA we've stayed in.

I loved staying here. The walking tour was great and the breakfast was huge and delicious. The beds were super comfy too. Sometimes I had to wait a little for the bathroom but otherwise everything was perfect and the staff were awesome and helpful and fun! Great atmosphere and great place to meet people.

More than 6 persons share one bathroom seems a bit .......

Met lots of wonderful people from all over while staying here.

Thank you so much to Karla, Obie, Marco, and the rest of the excellent staff for a great stay! The staff here are unbelievably helpful, all spaces are clean, showers are hot, and Marco has built such a great atmosphere. We loved the free walking tour as well.

This is a nice hostel. Beds are super comfy, showers are hot most of the time, breakfasts for $2.50 were excellent, big table upstairs is good for meeting people. On the downer, some security drawers didn't work (you get assigned one under your bed) so your stuff might not be secure, the dinners were pretty bad for $5, the internet is TERRIBLE! But I'd stay here again so all in all its a good place

The hostel is not in the center of where the bars are, but taxis are really inexpensive and easy to find. The showers are cold, really cold. If you don't mind that, then youll be fine. We had the best room in the hostel - the double corner room on the top floor. The view was amazing. The little patio off the third floor also has an incredible view.

Thank you for the review! for our future guests, if the water is cold please let us know so we can fix it, Hot water in Ecuador runs on gas tanks and we can change them immediately, Although we are always checking them, sometimes we make mistakes but they are easily solvable! Thanks for staying with us and we apologize about the cold water!

Highly recommended! Very friendly, great location, clean and comfortable. The staff is helpful and goes out of their way to answer questions and make suggestions. Central market is right across the street. The free walking tour of old town Quito that leaves the hostal every morning at 10:30 is a must.

Wonderful hostel to stay! Great atmosphere and super fun and friendly. Amazing food prepared if you want to join in for meals at great prices! They run events to get everyone involved and gives you a chance to meet people and adventure the city together. When I come back to Quito I will be staying here again for sure.

Excellent location, nice breakfast and dinner where you can meet other travelers. The staff speak really good English. The highlight of the hostel is the free walking tour and Friday night food tour. The tour guide was really good, one of the best. Good wifi, decent computers, cool common area to hangout. But only 1 bathroom on my floor, so always need to wait. And don´t leave your personal things in the bathroom, it will be gone in a second. It´s also a party hostel, every night people drink.

The location is not great - while you're still close to everything touristy, the area shuts down at night and gets a little scary (especially if you're a girl traveling on your own). However, the showers are amazing (hot water AND pressure!), if you pay a little extra you get cheap beers and good food, constant free coffee, and the free walking tour with Ovi is not to be missed! My complaint would be that some members of the staff clearly care more about socializing than doing their jobs.

I had a great stay here. The hostel has a really sociable vibe, helped by the wonderful staff. The rooms were comfortable and the bathrooms were clean. Close to all the main attractions in the old town, and the start point for the free walking tour. I was sad to leave!

This hostel is one of the best I have ever been to. Friendly and attentive staff, very clean, delicious meals for a very reasonable price, and just a general atmosphere that makes it easy to meet people and very fun! If you are an extremely light sleeper you might have a problem because you can hear cars honking from the street very early in the morning. Probably would be a problem in any major area of the city. No nightlife in the area but you can take a $3 cab to the main nightlife.
