Lovely hostel, great breakfast and communal dinners. Free walking tour from here is also fab!

Affordable accommodation right near in the middle of old town. No locks on doors, but they provide a bunk locker. The bunks are super tall so if you're tipsy and sleeping on top, good luck climbing!

Nice big bathroom, comfy bed, and nice balcony but breakfast is not included, people partying late might keep you up, and neighborhood isn't safe at night. I had a bad experience with the staff, they can be a little rude and standoffish, except for the guy who gives the daily free walking tours which I highly recommend!

Excellent staff, great location for the old town and right by a bus stop for easy access to the rest of the city. The free walking tour is a must. The social areas of the hostel are great which makes it a great place to meet other travellers. Only downside is you need to get to the showee early to make sure you get the hot water. Despite that, one of the best hostels I've stayed at.

I had such a good time at Community hostel that I extended several times and made 2 follow on bookings. The location is great, in the old town, away from the main street so it´s quiter but close enough to walk to the sites . There is a nightly communal dinner that I highly recommend, really helpful and friendly staff and a good mixture of chill out in the day and a little more vibe in the evenings. They also run a great free walking tour and have other events each night. Join the Community!

Great hostel, very clean, very spacious, great internet, great bathrooms, great common areas, interesting staff, not close to the night life. Breakfast is cool to be a part of and some of the evening events are nice. I felt the dinners were a little over rated at times, they (the dinners) are however a good opportunity to socialise, meet the staff and other travelers. I enjoyed my time there and overall would recommend staying here. Ladies night on the wednesday at bungalow is a lot of fun!

I got in late at night and they were kind enough to let me wait to check in until the next morning, which I definitely appreciated as all I wanted to do after three days of straight travel was sleep. Also, breakfast was excellent and, while not included, only cost three dollars. I have absolutely no complaints and would definitely stay there again.

Really good hostel. Great staff, excellent rooms and plenty of decent touches e.g. imaginative breakfasts albeit at extra cost and quality coffee in an urn available all day. Nice bathroom although shower temperature wasn't 100% reliable. Only issue we had was the massive volume films were played at in the living room on 'movie night', recorded sounds of people screaming reverberating through your room just before going to bed isnt ideal. But that aside this was a great hostel.

Nothing to find fault with here for me. Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good information for where to go and what to see. I liked staying here in the Old Town part of Quito. I stayed i the 6 bed dorm. Very good value for the money. Coffee and tea all day long. Breakfast and dinner are very good and at a good price. It's a young crowd and always something going on but you can also sleep at a reasonable hour. Well run hostel.

The staff made this place. It was a clean but average place - until you add the staff to the mix. They were so amazing, helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond for us and the food they made was fantastic.

Great hostel, amazing staff and a great atmosphere in the hostel. So easy to sit around and have a beer and a chat with everyone. The beds are amazing and good lockers under the beds.

Loved this hostel, great atmosphere, friendly staff, comfy beds, got showers. You can pay 2.50 for breakfast and 5 for dinner which is a great way of meeting people and the food is AMAZING. The walking tour also goes from here which is a great way to be welcomed into the city :)

A really charming home feel hostel. Small enough that you get to know everyone, fantastic bathrooms and some of the most comfortable beds in Quito. A great hostel if you're looking for somewhere to just chill out.

My first comment ever on Hostelworld and probably my last. But this hostel deserves recommendation for having great facilities, very nice breakfast with good Ecuadorian coffee, friendly staff, nice beds: it is therefore a place to catch your breath if you're travelling.

Community was an awesome hostel! The staff were great, it was always clean, social environment (especially if you do the big family dinners- which are cheap as is beer). Most of all- THE BEDS ARE AMAZING! They are very large for a single bed and very very comfy! The location is good because it is in the old city which not many places are but also not on the best block so you just have to walk a block or two until its a nice area again. There is a place across the street called Bandidos, go!
