Very clean, very staff, great atmosphere. Water wasn't always warm and the rooms are pretty noisy and bright in the mornings but otherwise great stay! Love the nightly events

Stop searching for hostels now and stay at this place!! The best I have ever been too. Beds are more comfortable than my bed at home. The entire place is so clean and feels like home. Very social environment and delicious group dinners offered. All the staff is fantastic and welcoming, especially Obi. Basically the most perfect hostel. You won't be disappointed.

This is a great hostel! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. There are lots of fun activities. They are helpful with planning local trips. It is super easy to meet people. The showers are fantastic - hot, good water pressure, lots of privacy and room to change. They even provide free towels! They have free water and coffee all day which I love. They have group dinner at 7:30pm if you sign up by 5pm and they serve a great breakfast for $2.50. Super clean and comfy beds need warmer blankets.

It was a nice hostel with a really nice staff. It was ideally located to bop around Quito. But it is loud. They need rugs, curtains, anything to absorb sound. As is every noise vibrates through the whole place. Not to mention the barking dog and demented parrot who bark/squawk and start their racket around 4 am. The breakfast is a good deal and it was nice to have free water all day.

This hostel has the best beds in South America they are super wide so you can sprawl out, the breakfasts are to die for also, every day they change the breakfast menu so you get a good variety. Excellent communal areas with a projector screen so you can watch movies, daily activities planned so always something to do ! Highly recommended

I loved my stay in community hostel in Quito. Hostel staff is awesome. And the food here is delicious. Food and walking tours are an excellent way to acquaint yourself to Ecuadorian history, culture, and food. Staff is very friendly, and provided all the information that I needed to move around in Ecuador. Daily social events are fun. I met a lot of fellow travelers, and listened to their stories. All-in-all a great place to be at.

Largest drawback: Very noisy at dawn because of a large street where all cars are honking when traffic starts, windows are not soundproof. Other than that great. Great bathrooms like in a good hotel, just shared. Very safe and clean. Located close to the old town, great for sightseeing. Not so great if you want to go out in the typical area in La Mariscal (even for good dinner) or have Ecuatorian friends who live rather in the northern areas of Quito.

I absolutely loved staying at Community Hostel!! The staff were all super nice and helpful with whatever questions I had. Plus I met lots of really nice travelers! The hostel itself was very clean and well taken care of. This hostel also makes delicious food for breakfast and dinner! The presentation of the food was as amazing as the food! Lots of people would stay for dinner and hangout. Lots of travelers that stayed there kept talking about how lucky they were to find this hostel!

Best hostel I ever stayed in! The staff makes you feel like you're part of one, big family. The beds are so comfortable and they have bathrooms that are nicer than the bathrooms in the Hilton. The location is perfect, one minute from a major bus station and a 5 minute walk from the historic city center. The breakfast and dinners they serve are excellent too and very reasonably priced.

This is a nice hostel in a great part of town - easily accessible to the old town on foot and to La Mariscal by bus. However, it is extremely noisy at night and much of the noise seemed to come from staff. They show movies right next to one of the dorm rooms making it impossible to sleep - if you have an early rise, I would suggest booking elsewhere.

it is unlikely i recommend this hostel beacuse my experience was not good, first of all there is no real quiteño atmosphere in it, secondly the young staff behave in such a way you don't feel confortable (the exception is Sarah who was super nice) actually one day i asked one of the lady staff to book beds for my friends who were coming and she wasn't courteous at all and when i asked if she was ok she said "estoy chuchaque" meaning hangover which was not my fault!

Really nice hostel near the Centro Historico. The Walking Tour offered is good and all the other events they have as well. They do good food for breakfast and dinner. The security and bathroom situation were not the best but they are working on it and its improving! It is a really social hostel where you can meet a lot of people

Really secure hostel, need to buzz in to pass through the front door. Dinners offered for $5 every night. Big comfy beds. Slow wifi. Staff are helpful and friendly enough. Average atmosphere. Would stay here again if just needing a bed and a meal

Friendly vibe, staff couldn't be more helpful! Great location, amazing food (although breakfast not included) Unfortunately not enough bathrooms/showers and no reception desk. It was never very clear who the staff were!

Very clean and the staff was really helpful. The only downside was the lack of bathrooms, however, the owner has completed renovations and 5 new bathrooms will be available in a weeks time. Great place to stay in Quito!

This was my first time in Ecuador and was amazing thanks Community for everything. The Hostel has very comfortable locations and they make plans for everyday so you never get bored. Ame mi experiencia en Ecuador y no hubiera sido lo mismo si me hubiera quedado en otro hostal, pues gran parte de esta se debió a la gente amable y divertida que allí encontré.

One of the best hostels I've stayed at! The staff was amazing...very friendly & knowledgeable. They go out of their way to help you. There's plenty of info on things to do, and the in-house agency was really helpful for planning excursions. They have events every night, and the big community table is great for meeting other people. It's a very social atmosphere, but it's not a crazy party spot. The lack of bathrooms shouldnt be an issue anymore because they're about to open up an expansion.

I can't say enough good things about this hostel! Everything from security to cleanliness to friendliness of staff makes this one of the best hostels I've ever stayed at. Marco, Maricela, Adrianna, Eduardo and the rest of the staff made this such a fun environment and made sure that everyone was comfortable and had what they needed. In addition to the staff, the beds are comfy, the water is hot and the food is amazing! Worth EVERY penny of the extremely affordable price. Altamente recomendado!

Amazing hostel, close to everything you'll ever need in Quito. I found the staff to be incredibly helpful and full of good advice. The $2.50 breakfasts were awesome - especially the pancakes! I also loved that the dorms had plenty of space, with not too many beds crammed in them.
