Wonderful hostel with wonder staff. Breakfast not included but for $2.50 it's one amazing one!
The hostel is really nice, but located in a bit dangerous area. You have to be careful in the night. On the other hand is close to the historic center and also to the busstation to get everywhere. There are often offers to Party or to join games in the evening. You will always meet other people if you are travelling alone. I really like the hostel!
Really good hostel. Breakfast and dinner options ($) are great, good sense of community, awesome people. My only complaint is that when I checked in around 7pm on the night of August 19th, I wasn't really welcomed. The guy working was busy talking to people and joking around and although I was checked in, nothing was explained to me and it seemed the guy working seemed eager to get back to his friends. All of my other experiences at the hostel staff were good, though.
Lot of noise coming from the third floor dining area in the evenings would be better if they used the second floor area for any organised social games etc

Loved the vibe! Got among the best showers in Ecuador
fantastic hostel. Close to the Old Historical town. Whole place looks like its fresh out of IKEA. powerful hot showers, warm comfy beds, fantastic staff, everything you want from a hostel.
Loved the vibe at this hostel. Everyone really comes together around the big table and shares info and make group plans. Breakfast and dinner options really give the place a home feeling. Hot showers with pressure. Great walking tour run from downstairs. Only negatives are the lack of power outlets in the large dorm room. Also wifi was slow and only works in communal areas.
You gotta fix the wifi, people need it for planning
So many good things to say about this place. Friendly and welcoming staff, comfy beds, great showers, tasty food (cheap too), good location, really easy to arrange tours and activities. Plus a bonus of a surprisingly awesome little brewery over the road. Wish I could have stayed longer. Only slight negative was the occasionally dodgy wifi. Would definitely recommend.
Very good hostel. Great facilities and helpful staff. Loved the free walking tour.
Best beds and showers in Latin America! Great dinners which are cheap, tasty and a great way to meet people if you are a solo traveller. WiFi didn't really work but sometimes that's a good thing
Very clean, very staff, great atmosphere. Water wasn't always warm and the rooms are pretty noisy and bright in the mornings but otherwise great stay! Love the nightly events
Stop searching for hostels now and stay at this place!! The best I have ever been too. Beds are more comfortable than my bed at home. The entire place is so clean and feels like home. Very social environment and delicious group dinners offered. All the staff is fantastic and welcoming, especially Obi. Basically the most perfect hostel. You won't be disappointed.
Loved this place that was recommended to me. Breakfast is amazing. Great dinner every night. Doesn't make you want to leave. I stayed here three times, always coming back to Community. Beds are great. Place to safely store the valuables. Omar, the driver from the airport, is very nice. Gina was helpful with everything. Edu's brownies are worth tasting. Ovi is a legend through Ecuador. Great place to meet people. Love the community aspect. Will definitely come again. Can't go wrong here.
This is a great hostel! Everyone is super friendly and welcoming. There are lots of fun activities. They are helpful with planning local trips. It is super easy to meet people. The showers are fantastic - hot, good water pressure, lots of privacy and room to change. They even provide free towels! They have free water and coffee all day which I love. They have group dinner at 7:30pm if you sign up by 5pm and they serve a great breakfast for $2.50. Super clean and comfy beds need warmer blankets.
It was a nice hostel with a really nice staff. It was ideally located to bop around Quito. But it is loud. They need rugs, curtains, anything to absorb sound. As is every noise vibrates through the whole place. Not to mention the barking dog and demented parrot who bark/squawk and start their racket around 4 am. The breakfast is a good deal and it was nice to have free water all day.

This hostel has the best beds in South America they are super wide so you can sprawl out, the breakfasts are to die for also, every day they change the breakfast menu so you get a good variety. Excellent communal areas with a projector screen so you can watch movies, daily activities planned so always something to do ! Highly recommended
Lacking good wifi recreation but other than this is a great hostel!
Don't go to any other hostel in quito - community will be your home and family. Great place to chill out in and explore quito from. Also Edu makes the best brownies!
I loved my stay in community hostel in Quito. Hostel staff is awesome. And the food here is delicious. Food and walking tours are an excellent way to acquaint yourself to Ecuadorian history, culture, and food. Staff is very friendly, and provided all the information that I needed to move around in Ecuador. Daily social events are fun. I met a lot of fellow travelers, and listened to their stories. All-in-all a great place to be at.
