A great friendly hostel. Breakfast (an extra $2.50) was the best I've had in South America - omelette one day, waffles and fruit the next. There's also a well equipped kitchen and nice lounge and dining room. The walking tour that runs from the hostel is also well worth doing.
Pros: 1.) location is good, in the center near the central market 2.) staff is amazing and so helpful 3.) it is a community, easy to meet people. They do breakfasts/dinners where you can sit and hang out next to everyone Cons: 1.) you won't get any sleep, the hostel is too loud. Right next to a busy street, and you hear everything in the rooms 2.) the doorbell is awful, ringing at all hours 3.). One bathroom per floor is a bit inconvenient Overall, would def stay again
Staff are very accomodationg and helpful in both Spanish and English. The area is perfect just by the old town. Free tea, coffee, filtered water and clean kitchens won me over! Great atmosphere and the walking tour they offer is great. Would definitely stay here again and reccomened it!
This was genuinely the best hostel I've stayed in south america. It was spotlessly clean, staff were excellent and really safe. Everyone is made to feel welcome. Breakfasts are fantastic. Cost $2.50 but are AMAZING. Meals are on offer every night for $5. Kitchen facilities are also great. The tv is a projector which is really good with quite a few good channels and filma to choose from. Bathrooms are really nice although there are only 3, but still this didnt bother us. Would HIGHLY recommend.
Had a great stay at community hostel. Airport pick up went smoothly, food was EXCELLENT, and staff very friendly and accommodating. The hostel offers a walking tour of the old town, which travellers from around the area come to do, and is free. This was a nice way to get to know the area. Overall a great stay, and would recommend Community hostel.
This hostel had nice beds, great staff and amazing meals :) Also it is right across from a brewery :) The only downfall is there aren't enough bathrooms, however they are always clean though.

If you are trying to relax and recharge, this might not be for you. However, for a vibrant and sociable atmosphere, you will love this place. Great location. Great facilities. Just expensive breakfast though.
Everything at this hostel is fantastic! We used Community as a base for the three weeks we were in Ecuador and returned 4 times over all. The staff are so friendly! They will answer all your questions and go out of their way to help. The free walking tour run by the hostel is awesome too. Other highlights of this hostel include amazing showers (completely makes up for there only being one bathroom per floor) and the delicious breakfasts and dinners. Definitely one of my favourite hostels!
Great atmosphere! Staff were helpful in answering questions for day tours and things to do. Affordable, cleanest shared bathroom I encountered on my trip, breakfast and dinner service available (food is delicious), well-situated to a local micro-brewery, market and easy walk to the historical old town of Quito. Highly recommend this hostel!
Good food, staff, amazing breakfast and dinner. Close to old town and the metrobus line. Great place!
One of the nicest hostels I have stayed in! Free tea and coffee all day, filtered water. Helpful and friendly staff. Good wifi. Lovely clean bathrooms and the beds were really comfy! Good location too because it is in the old town Definitely recommend.

Really enjoyed our 4 night stay here - the tasty breakfasts, free walking your offered, cleaniness of the rooms and comfiness of the beds are all worth mentioning. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the ability to organise a pickup or drop off to the airport is very helpful, given the airport is about 45 mins away by car. Highly recommend Community Hostel for your next stay in Quito!

Had a great time at this hostel and met a lot of cool people! Staff are very nice and friendly, breakfast is perfect! And so are dinners. Free walking tour is very good, and so are all the services that this hostel offers. Would definitely recommend it.
Best hostel of south america. The owners and rest of the staff are so friendly and helpful. Also the possibility to eat together in the evening is great. I would highly recommend to go on the foodtour and city tour with Ovi, the best guide I met so far. Furthermore, the rooms are great and the bathrooms are clean. I have no negative comments on this hostel and will stay here again.
Not as community oriented as I thought from reviews - might have been the people there at the particular time I was in addition to the multi-story layout. Definitely have stayed in better hostels in South America.
The hostel was good. Nice big, warm, comfy beds. But often got quite loud on the 3rd floor. The staff tried to be helpful, but gave poor directions and gave wrong information for bus schedules and times. Also while I was there they forgot to extend a guys night as he requested and then it was fully booked so he had to go find another hostel at 7pm that night after hiking all day 😀 would stay again cause of price and location, but staff needs to try a bit harder...
What an excellent hostal! The staff was so nice and I met a lot of people there, the atmosphere was so friendly! Good location and big kitchen for guests. The breakfast is unfortunately not included but you can still order it every morning for a few soles. Also the possibility to sign up for a common dinner every night. Huge bathrooms and great beds. Highly recommended!
Great place to stay. Good location in the old town, great, friendly atmosphere and the staff are really helpful and nice. The breakfasts are awesome. Would definitely stay there again.
Awesome hostel! Definitely one of the best we've stayed out in South America. The staff are lovely and go out of their way to help you. Located in a nice part of town, right across the road from an amazing market. It does get quiet on a night when the shops close but we didn't find it unsafe at all. Clean, good kitchen, and the tours are excellent. Would definitely recommend!
