This is a really lovely hostel. It's probably more like a bed and breakfast in the way it's run, but that just means it's looked after even better. The staff were lovely, very helpful and I would recommend this place to anyone. It's a quiet place and would suit people of any age. The location is great, but Puerto Varas is small enough that that's not really an issue. Oh and if you're undecided whether to go to Puerto Varas or Puerto Montt, I have to recommend Puerto Varas!

A wonderful warm welcoming and homely place. The common areas were great and not at all institution-like. Excellent choice for those wanting congenial conversation without a party atmosphere.

Bedroom very cold which let this otherwise very good hostel down. Communal areas warm and cosy, bed comfy and they served a very good breakfast (you can pay a small amount extra for eggs, porridge, fresh fruit juice etc). Good communal bathroom with hair dryer and even straighteners! Close to town centre, up some steps though. Overall would recommend.

Staff was fantastic and very helpful. They made taking day trips very easy. Although they provide extra blankets, there is no heat in the bedrooms. The rest of the house was wonderfully heated.

Nice and cosy with the wood fires, it's a good place to stop and unwind for a few days and enjoy all that Puerto Varas has to offer, the owners and staff were very friendly and helpful, top quality kitchen and good breakfasts, sad to leave.

I enjoyed my experience here. It is about a ten minute walk to main part of the town and about 15-20 min walk uphill to the bus station. Got quite cold in the evening as there was insufficient heating.

Another excellent hostel with staff who cannot do enough for you, if you don't stay here you are really missing out.
