I visited this hostel in the heart of the off season and was the only guest. I think it is hard to really rate a hostel when they are in their down time, conducting repairs and relaxing. The one host was very friendly. The rooms are small and have lots of bunks, and the walls are simple plywood. The bathroooms are basic, but clean and the hot water is great. The walk from the bus stop is well marked by signs on poles and trees and the hostel is close to the beach.

A great hostel if what you only care about is being a flirty porthead. When we first arrived, the guy in charge told us to come back later cause he was very concentrated on watching the football match on TV and his boss had gone surfing. Later on the pothead staff told us they didn't have enough room even though we had booked it, and so they put me and my friends separeted. Ok, guys, we all love partying, but come on, good hostels manage to be really fun and still organised...

Hostel has a great vibe. The people who work here are excellent and very chilled but are always cleaning and keeping the hostel tidy !! The hostel is in a good location also. Might be a little difficult to find if you arrive at night, but you're in Uruguay - you're safe. Party atmosphere that they move to the nightclub after 2am. Dorms and build of the hostel is basic and noise is high (bring ear plugs) but for hostel atmosphere and a great Uruguayo chilled-out stay, this place is great.

Very good hostel. The location and atmosphere. A lot of youg people. There were parties at night, but I didn't hear much and was able to sleep with no problem. Everything was good, its a great value for money, I'd definitely recommend. Great staff also. In general the uruguayan people were really kind. I have nothing to complain about. cute and nice guys at the reception hahah great facilities !

Some nice activities at night and great atmosphere, but late breakfast with sour milk and no information about VAT refunds in their hostel.

DON'T BOOK HERE! The "walls" are 1cm wide wood sheets, so you can everything and everyone, and it gets really hot inside the rooms. There is no lock for the rooms door, nor lockers (as it says here and in every brochure). The rooms are just big enough to fit the bunk beds. The bathrooms and kitchen are ok, but there's no table sit at. When we wanted to leave early, the owner was very rude and wanted to charge us for all the days we've booked. We asked around and everyone in town hates him.
