The hostel served its purpose for us - a place to rest our heads and leave our bags while out trekking. To that end they were happy to let us leave our bags in the lobby while we spent our second day out and about before a late bus. The breakfast (included with our private room - but not the dorms) was good energy to kick off the day, the bathroom was nice, and though many flies do indeed populate the common area, they didn't disturb our sleep. Same cannot be said for the neighbour's guard dog.

Overall the facilities here were nice. However, we had a private room on the first floor and it sounded as if a herd of elephants were running around above us. Walls were super thin. Multiple days of trekking and exhaustion were really the only things that helped us sleep.

Staff is very slow and inefficient. Very unclear with breakfast; what was going on! WiFi did not always work. For the rest rather pleasant hostel, at an excellent location for hiking and busses.

I would assume there are better options than this in El Chalten. Be prepared to pay just a little bit extra to look elsewhere. Dorms are small, staff are rude and the kitchen is dirty. The hundreds of flies in this hostel make it feel even more cramped then it already is. If ever I found myself back in Chalten I most certainly would not be staying here! NOT reccommended.

On 2 occasions staff were rude to us for no reason. The kitchen was filthy and a construction site during the day. Everyting in the kitchen needs replacing. The fridge was not cold and smelt of off food. Flies were everywhere in the building. The dorm was extremeley small and only 4 lockers for 6 people. The private bathroom was dirty and slimey. Wifi was extremely slow and did not work on some occasions. Overall nothing positive to say about this place. Check elsewhere not on Hostelworld!

Adequate place to finish our 4day hike around Fitz Roy. Slightly cramped rooms but good facilities including luggage storage and kitchen. El Chalten is very small so location was no problem.
