Good and safe location, really friendly staff who spoke english (because we couldn't speak a word of Spanish), and the atmosphere makes it really easy to meet the other hostel residents.

It is a very average type of hostel, not a place where I would hang out too long. I was told I could hand in my valuables at the reception, which I did. When I came to pick them up, they had a hard time finding them, which was kind of ennerving. When they finally found them, they did not verify that what they handed to me actually belonged to me. They have a laptop for guests to use, but it ran out of batteries and they could not find the charger.

I felt the room was a little damp and the pillows could do with a change. From the pictures, the place now looks a little dilapidated and could do with a good thorough clean and make over. However the staff were very helpful and there is an tour agent at the hostel during the day. There is also a kitchen for guest use and a continental breakfast is included which is nice.

I think the hodtel was really well located, howevwer the staff didn't give a full recommendatipn on How going to downtown. Without paying a lot. Some people of the staff seemed to be Not worried about peolpe. Who. Wanted. To sleep early and disturb with loud noises and Partying all night. It should be a hostel that can balance both!

I asked for them to picked me up at airport, and they did for $20. Hostal is close to the oceanside parks, and about 10 minute walk to the beach where i was able to get a quick surf in. Nice little garden/bar in the back.
