Really great shower room, it's really handy to be able to take a shower any time. Very glad that the hostel sells food as well - I arrived on a Sunday night, everything else was closed, but I was able to get a really good dinner from the hostel!

Though it's a little out of the way, Cool & Bed makes up for it with its fun atmosphere and general liveliness. They have nice music playing in the mornings and free all-you-can eat breakfast (usually cereal and milk, bread and jam, yogurt, and the likes). The building is colorful and comfortable, the staff is friendly, cleanly, and helpful, and everything you need to exist really can be found either at the hostel or nearby.

The staff was really nice and the place was okey, nothing wonderfull though. The breakfast was quite good and they also gave me free dinner. If you're a solo traveller the atmosphere is good, I met cool people and we went out to a nightclub. If you don't like walking this is not the place for you because it's a pretty big walk to the city center. I thought the bed linen was not so clean, the blanket was full of hairs and it was a bit gross.

I spent just one evening at Cool & Bed but enjoyed it a lot. Greeted by Pierre I immediately fealt at ease. A very relaxed, warm atmosphere thanks to the staff and the hostel itself. A great place to stay!

This is a good hostel but a good 20 minutes walk from the city centre.

Location is not the best, but rooms were ok, also beds. Wide rooms. Staff is ok, but sometimes music in hall is too loud, by some member staff. Change the bread knife, it cuts nothing!!:)) Very clean.

Staff were great at this hostel! I was visiting Lyon at a very slow time so there weren't a lot of people staying at the hostel to make friends with, but there is a nice lounge so I imagine at other times it might be more social. Loved that they will do your laundry for you for €5! The location is a bit out of the way but not terrible.

First night it was too cold, but they solved it for the second one :) Everything was clean, there was no noise and the breackfast was very good. A bit far from the city center by foot.

Amazing staff. Very friendly people and the atmosphere is bound to make you feel at home. Their home made dinner is yum! Facilities are fine. The kitchen is big with sufficient cutlery so for those who want to cook can do so comfortably. One can walk to Vieux LYON and the walk overseeing the Saone river is brilliant. Bus stop is opposite the hostel and departmental stores are 5 mins by walk.

The kitchen was lacking. Could use some more cutting boards, more knives, lids for pots, just to name a few things. A "free food" section for people to put their unwanted/extra items in is always nice and you can have salt/pepper/oil/tea there as well for everyone's use. Staff were all friendly, polite and helpful. Having maps available at reception would also be a nice touch.

We really enjoyed our stay at Cool&Bed, everyone was nice and the interior design was great. The only negative point was that the night staff that let us out early on Sunday morning was a bit rude.
