$3 deposit for a plate or cup at breakfast - really? 1 dingy toilet for an entire floor of rooms. Not a nice place

I thought Coolibah was a little dirty and in desperate need of some updates. Kitchen was dirty, the grounds weren't kept up and and it smelled moldy. Location was ok - about a 10 min walk to bars and restaurants and 15-20 min from city center. There were a lot of longterm guests at the hostel that werent too welcoming to the rest of the transient guests. I wouldn't recommend this hostel. Perth is a great city, but find somewhere else to stay while there.

The cleaner only came once while we stayed a week and the common areas and or room was very dirty. They charge extra for - Internet which was slow and sometimes not working, washing powder, washing machine. Perhaps we were spoilt by the last place we stayed at on wickham street but we did not enjoy our stay here and were happy to get out. There was no atmosphere either, they have a large tv which people just stared at all day and night. KEEP LOOKING

almost no working cooking utensils, and they even charge you for plates and cutlery (you can hire a locker with that stuff and if you don't then you might consider yourself lucky to find maybe 1 fork or so in the entire kitchen). they check your room everyday, but not to clean it or so but to see if you have alcohol there which is strictly forbidden (what a kindergarden) UNLESS you buy it from them (so alcohol is very bad, unless we make money out of it....) oh and no free parking anywhere near

Best hostel in Perth, but the facilities were still average. Furthermore it was a clean, nice hostel with a good atmosphere. There was also a very nice, friendly and helpful staff.

Nice, Lively hostel with a good atmosphere. Not too far from Perth centre. However, not too clean! I don't think cleaning the rooms once a week is sufficient. In the room I stayed in there was lots of random stuff from previous people. The bathrooms weren't very clean and had dead cockroaches left on the floor!

Free Internet would be nice, the prices are much too high for the provided internet. Bathroom and shower could be better. Nice Staff and the hostel was clean.
