The staff were very helpful. Great location. Sometimes the TV was on loud but that's ok because your so tired after a day out in the city you sleep through it. 10 min walk to Copacabana beach. Staff speak good English and explain to the cabs where you want to go. Metro is 3 min walk, very safe during the day and easy to use. Breakfast is ok. Nice hang out roof top area. Would stay again.

Very good hostel overall. Bar shuts a bit earlier than I would like at 11pm. Additionally, the hostel is quite hard to find as there isn't very good signage outside due to building restrictions. Don't be put off by this though. Nice staff, good hostel and greay location.

Nice Hostel close to the beach. Rooms are a bit small, but for the price it is really more then ok.

Bathrooms should have a private space to change clothes. The only place you have is inside the shower, which does not have hooks or shelves to place your dry clothes while you shower. That is my only suggestion. Everything else is good. The staff was very courteous, and willing to help, give directions, suggestions, etc to make your stay more pleasant in Rio. Should offer more security for big bags. They only provide small lockers for small items.

Great hostel. The staff is very helpful (specially Vania, the owner). Even before you arrive there, they're gonna help you if you need. The breakfast is really good. And this was one of the cleanest hostels i've stayed in. The bathroom was clean at all times. Sometimes when there was 3 people having shower at the same time, the water couldn't warm up, but this was not a big deal comparing with hot weather in Rio.

Outstandingly helpful staff. Great stay in a hostel with a family vibe. A good stay pretty close to Copa Beach.

I´ve stayed in hundreds of hostels around the world and I would say this one is decent and good value for your money. What really makes this hostel wonderful is the family that runs it. They are so warm, helpful and accomidating. They really care that you have a good experience in Rio and UNLIKE other hostels in popular areas such as Leblon (which triple stack the bunk beds and leave you no room to put your bag anywhere), THEY DON´T OVERPACK THE ROOM.

The staff were very friendly welcoming and accomadating to our every need. If wee needed anything there, any directions or information they were more than happy to help.

I really had a good time at CopaFunHostel, all the staff are very friendly and they take all their time to assist you. Vania is very nice. His son Diego was very nice too, all weekends he sent me to Lapa for partying and on weekdays he proposed me the nightclub to go and gave me VIP tickets. Pyero is very nice too and he told me all the places to visit. CopaFunHostel is also a great place to meet people. with others from the hostel we did some plans together, going to the beach, nightclub,.

The owner is very friendly. The streer, by night, is a bet unsafe. However, i strongly recommend it!

We had a fantastic time a Copa Fun hostel and it turned out to be our second home. Mamalicious and her staff crew are so nice and really helpful! We really enjoyed the roof terrace with good atmosphere and the little nice bar. They make very happy caipirinhas :) See you in Denmark!

No bad comments whatsoever. One the cleanest I've been to, probably because it's being run by ladies, and they keep cleaning all day. It's not a party hostel but a bit quiet to take it easy. So if you want a clear head go there, if you won't parties don't. It has big communal spaces to relax, a good kitchen, and a nice terrace. The people there were really friendly and helpful in everything I needed.

I loved the poeple working at this hostel, and the location was reasonably good! I payed a lot to stay there for New Years so I didn´t like that we had to pay for the internet or for towels. The bathrooms were very squishy. But security was good and everyone was helpful and always happy to see you!

Located 10min from the beach, the hostel is very good place to relax and chill out. The staff are amazing and very helpful. Rooms have A/C for those hot nights and the place is kept very tidy. Breakfast is great, has a pool table, a rooftop bar with great Caipirinhas. Overall one of the best hostels I've stayed in, although if you're looking for a party, probably not the hostel for you, although visitors are all really friendly just not as crazy as other hostels.

Very good hostel if not that ugly thing would have happened: One day the hostel organized a nightly tour to a favela-party and the employee going with us wanted to trick us and earn private money by getting us cheaper in the club than we paid for. When we complained we got our whole money back but the employee didn't get punished because he was the son of the owner. Instead another employee got fired, telling her that we wanted her to get fired, which was an infamous lie. Run by false people.

Vania, hostel owner is just amazing. So interested in her guests' welfare & making sure everyone is having a good time. All the people working for her there are likewise- a great place 2make friends. Hostel is simply a fantastic option for anyone staying in central Rio & at an affordable price. Really sad to leave. The hostel is clean, safe, well located & as the name suggests loads of fun. I would go back there time & time again. I cannot recommend Copa Fun enough! Big thank u to them all. Will
