Wave hostel was a good value. I would give the hostel a 76%. The staff was friendly but not all staff spoke English. The cleanliness of the place was probably a 72%. One of the lights in the bathroom would not always work, the bathroom was not in horrible condition but not spotless.

it's awful. don't stay there! everything is old and not clean at all. seems like the bathroom is never cleaned and the floor is always wet. the bedrooms are small so it gets really hot when there're 6 people in there. staff don't know what's going on. the only good point is location: easy access to buses and subway and really close to the beach. atmosphere is bad and it's hard to meet other travelers. seems like everyone was in a bad mood cause of the bad conditions of the place.

This place has bedbugs. After noticing 30+ bites along the length of my arm, I checked the mattresses and noticed two bugs. When you can see two, there are many more. When we switched rooms, they didn't remove the mattresses in the old room or do anything, and then some new people moved into it. Stay away unless absolutely desperate.
