Copacabana Wave Hostel Reviews

The location of Wave hostel is excellent, in the middle point of Copacabana and Ipanama. one block from the Nossa Sephora Avenue, you can take bus to bus station,Sugar Loaf,Crist easily. Breakfast is normal like cheese,ham,juice,coffee and fruit. Shower is a bit simple and small to put your clothes,shampoo but still okay. Once you get into the hostel, feels soooo Rio, like it.

The hostel world site said there was a pool. We didn't find one during our stay. The transfer that we booked to the bus station never came and as we had to get a taxi we found out it was nearly half the price.

The only good thing I can think of about this hostel is its location. We stayed at a private room with bathroom, and the room was very dirty, there was at least a cockroach under the beds; the matresses were wet and the room stinked strongly of humidity; the cleanliness of the bathroom was extremely defficient as well, there were dead mosquitoes on the wall tiles. I even got a rash on my back!

Had a great time at this hostel and really enjoyed our stay. The staff were very warm and friendly and the facilities were very clean.

The stay on this "hostel" was awful...my recommendation: Find another place, by the same price you can find the something much better.... The owner of the hostel only wants your money....not your good being.

the fan in the room makes loud noise. i didn't use it but other person in the room did, through out the whole night. did not get good sleep at all. hostel should put a sign/ or set a rule, where no loud noise after 10:30pm or 11pm. people who stay in hostel are travelers, we need sleep, people who choose to party all night long should not take the quietness away. A bigger sign on the street would help, to find the location of the hostel.

Was a nice trip. You will feel like in home there. The private room was OK, cleanliness allright, nothing to complain. The only thing was that they changed the reception staff EVERY DAY, but that supost to be not a problem, but they didn't ask my name ONCE or where i was to give me the room key. You just say "room #5" and they give you, that wasn't good. But i recommended!

First of all we didnt stay in the hostel we booked. There was an "electrical" problem with our room/double booking. We were moved to a guest house on ipanema near the ipanema wave. Room was OK, but no internet, had to walk to the other hostel for breakfast,. Frustrating thing was nobody at either the Ipanema or Copacabana wave seemed to know about why we were there or what happened.
