One of the best overnight stays on my more than a month tour around Australia. Highly recommended.

Stayed over the Christmas period - couldn't have been better. Great staff in a well equipped hostel. Would stay again in a heartbeat and really recommend.

Great friendly staff and super helpful! Blonde German/polish lady at desk was amazing and helped us out loads with our holiday in port Douglas. Nice pool and great share kitchen facility! Walking distance to marina, beach and main shopping strip. Only negative was you cannot use the air con during the day, although wasn't an issue as we were always busy during the day. Loved the stay!

It was a wonderful, relax hostel where it was really easy to meet other travellers. The facilitates are great and the staff really friendly. It's easy to feel at home here.

This hostel was GREAT!! Very relaxed and safe. I appreciated that the room had a large storage cabinet so we could store our luggage without it cluttering the room. There are small fridges in each room as well and the en suite bathrooms were kept clean. Internet is unlimited. There are many common areas to spread out... couches, tables, hammocks, TV room, pool, or wherever. This hostel has great space to spread out on your own or to laugh with a new group of friends. Tom has great recs for area!

My Mum and I stayed for a week at Port O Call and really enjoyed it! The hostel was clean, comfortable and we felt very relaxed eating meals in the outdoor setting. The staff were really helpful in recommending tours/activities that met our needs ie a small snorkelling tour and helped with booking. We loved the relaxing location of the hostel which was 1km from the town- a good distance to walk back after dinner whilst finishing off an icecream!

We spent 6 nights here in a private room and were pleasantly surprised by how spacious and well equipped it was. Really comfy bed, little patio area and fridge, perfect! Only five minutes walk to the beach and about ten/fifteen to the middle of town. The staff are all really friendly and helped us a lot with booking tours and transfers. We only wish we could have stayed here longer!

Covered 6 hostels in 3 weeks and this was by far the best! Closer to a hotel room than a hostel and very close to the beach and main road. Would definitely recommend!

I only planned on staying 3 nights but ended up staying a week. The staff was very helpful when booking tours. The beds were very comfortable and each room has an area out back with a table and chairs and a hammock. My only issue is that you need to get a ticket from reception with WiFi login info and if you go over your quota when reception is closed you'll be without WiFi til morning.

Enjoyed the location and facilities. Lots of people staying there lived in the hostel which created an odd atmosphere.
