Great hostel! Bathrooms cleaned more than once a day. Great staff, great bar, awesome clean swimming pool. At the base of Christ the Redeemer. A little far away from Copacobana, Ipanema, Lapa etc bus taxi's are cheap or the buses are easy too. No complaints! Thank you Corvocado :) only problem was taxi driver did not know the address and we heard of a few people that had the same problem- insist they put the address into a GPS

We were four people staying at a 9-person dorm during carnival. We spent a great time in that hostel. There was no bed left in teh hostel during carnival but it was still clean most of the time). Only the bathroom was not always that clean. Staff is really friendly and it is easy to get by bus or taxi to copacabana or ipanema.

Lovely hostel located at the base of cristo de redeemer, hence not close to the beach but bus stop at the end of the street is convenient. Good vibe, great staff, great common area, lovely pool and bar. Would highly recommend this hostel if you don't mind being a little further away from face paced Rio.

Although far from the beaches, the hostel is located in a lovely area, on the way to the Christ. Beds are very comfortable and air con in the room although very noisy. Nice swimming pool and nice view to the Christ. I would definitely recommend it.

Great chef cooked very good authentic food every night. Nice safe quiet neighbourhood. Half an hour bus to beach. Anna on the desk was really helpful and friendly. Took us out for dinner and spent ages helping us book flights etc.a 10min cab to lapa, where there is definitely a good party- especially Friday night!

Corcovado hostel is ideal for a relaxed stay, so if you want a hostel to party non stop, this might be not an ideal choice. Moreira family and their staff were very helpful and shared many great stories. Hostel is very close to a terminal bus stop, where you can find a bus route virtually to any place in Rio. Highly recommended for anyone seeking some rest from busy streets of this otherwise great city.

Nice family hostel. It is a littlebit off, but the nearby bus station makes up for that. Nice english speaking staff, the wifi does not work 100% but well enough, safe!

It was a perfect place to meet people and stay if your on a budget. Nice staff, only one girl talk and understands english properly, but its ok. You can take the bus to town for under 3 Brl or buss and metro for 4 Brl or taxi for like 17 Brl. It is nice, breakfest included and swimmingpool. We loved it here!

Very well received, in a family-like atmosphere. It is really a good place to relax. and pull-out from the city unrest. ++ : Internet connection is fast, the place is clean and secure inside. The trees and plants in the garden make you feel in a cosy forrest. Great overall accommodation. By cab at night you are (only) at R$25 away from both Lapa in the North and Copacabana in the South. - : if you get there walking, there is a 100m-long hill to climb. Thank you very much, I enjoyed my stay.

This hostel is amazing! This is actually a private home converted into hostel and the folks that run the hostel have lived there for years. Eduardo was very nice and helpful and his Father, Paulo was great too! This felt like a bed and breakfast more so than a hostel. You won't find 60 people in this hostel....I'm guessing the capacity is 20 or so. From the pool you can see a great view of Cristo! I would definitely stay here again!
