dont' know why this place has so many 'bad' reviews. yes the staff is a bit abrasive, and it's not the kind of fun place where you'd meet lots of people, party etc, but it's clean, cheap, and conveniently located

The hostel itself is one of the most interesting attractions in Eilat.

Cleanliness: gross! tables and esp kitchen countertops and plates etc were sticky with grime. Cats rummaging through the open garbage can in kitchen at night. The host is a hobby painter and didn't seem to care much about his guests. The beds are worn out and saggy, pillows and blankets are vintage. I stayed there twice and the first time there were no blankets available. The basement rooms have tiny windows and the a/c was on despite chilly temps outside. One girl got sick because of this.

One guy was nice to me here, but the lady was terribly rude, and the guy that worked at night was actually mean and very creepy. The staff only interacts with you when you pay and to tell you not to do things. The place looks cool inside and has a nice lounge, but nobody really interacts and they don't have programs to help people meet or find things to do. The kitchen was useful, but other then that not much to say. There are better hostels in Eilat and I would only stay here again if I had to

Located next to the bus station in the non tourist area with all necessary shops around. Good bakery next door. The dormitary has a good shower ensuite. No laptops for surfing. The staff is not of young age. Breakfast not included but kitchen for everyone's use . Towel 1 Euro extra. Bus No.15 goes to the tourist area or the coast along to the underwater observatory and other facilities, e.g. nice area for snorkeling.
