Extremely friendly owner with great English. We stayed in the private double bedroom. It was a great option. Clean and safe.

Came in really late, and left really early, so I didn't get much of an impression of the place. Got what I needed out of it though - a place to sleep and shower. It was kind of annoying however that there were no plugs in the shower / hall, so when I wanted to dry my hair in the morning, I feared disturbing the others in the dorm with me by the sound. Plus, the place could always use a thorough cleaning. Finally, find the place was a little confusing (especially since I came after hours).

You might not think at a first glance that this is an excellent location, but is is. Thanks to John, we appreciated the location, with good food and convenient bus stops nearby. The place is nice, the room a little dusty perhaps. Good value for money.

The location is a bit away from main road but it could be fine if you can read Chinese or has a good memory about location. The owner of the hostel is very kind and nice, he provided good suggestion on places for travel and for souvenir. One drawback is that there is no common area for residents to sit down and chit chat with each others.

I really enjoyed my stay. The themed room was a nice touch. There were some board games in the common area which I think it was great, although I didn't use them, I think it shows that the owners are trying to go the extra mile in their efforts to give costumers a special experience.

I really like this hostel. Because the location is close to Nature & Science museum, CMP department store. I like all the wall painting. Owner is nice. Room is clean. Also there is a great brunch Cafe’ call Iris 113 near by CBP hostel. Good food and cheap~ Bus station close to hostel. I can go to Lu Gang old town easily. I’ll come back absolutely if I visit Taichung again.

Basically the owner is helpful. When you check-in, he explain how to go sightseeing places. You only meet him when check-in. When you have any queries, you need call him. He live in near hostel. The location is good which is easy to go anywhere. I hope the owner to improve the quality of bed.

First of all, the position of the hostel. It was written there to drop by Zhongshan Hosp before finding getting into another road to the hostel. However, as far as I know there are 2 Zhongshan Hosps which I did not know in advance. It took me about an hour with the heavy bagpack to get to the right one. Secondly, there is nobody in the lobby of the hostel. when you want to check in, you have to go across the road, ring the bell to inform the owner that you have come. The direction was not clear.

The hostel was priced pretty well and it serves your purpose. However the bathroom(the walls) was downright cringe worthy and I felt like it was a mexican prison! Also the room was adequate but felt a little dusty and just not comfortable to be in. The staff was alright but not overly friendly. Also the wifi wasn't powerful and I noticed my IPad would go in and out. They also give you a $20 coupon for the cafe across the street(the food there) was pretty good.

The direction to the hostel is confusing, need to improve or change the direction for easy to locate. The common lobby is cramp hardly allows more than 3 person to sit together.

Room and facilities are basic, but with the price is reasonable. Location is a bit further away from Feng chia but you can always take a taxi there, about TWD 150 per way. Hostel is actually nearer to the old part of the town. Easy access to bus and taxi. Food and 7-11 is within walking distance. John, the owner is always friendly and eager to help in anyway.

The hostel was ok, but I've never seen the staff... I was tired for the trip and I felt sick so I couldn't go out and search for the staff. And during evening I really didn't know were to find them: when I needed some help I couldn't ask for it since nobody was there. The hostel was raelly cold.

i booked a private double room but i totally didn't know that there is no wifi in the room and only ADSL is available. Unfortunately my own computer is now very good at connecting to network via ADSL and thus I suffered the poor network connection for the whole night, which also ruined my day after. Perhaps their dormitory is better than private room.

The stay at Corner's backpacker was horrible. There was no one at our hostel at our designated check in time. When the staff finally arrived, she was helpful and gave instructions on a horrible hand drawn map.
