Facilities are fairly basic, but for the amount you pay per night you can't complain! The free meal at the Woolshed is great. Staff were very friendly and helpful and the location is excellent.

Had a great time here and would definitely return, perhaps the reception could be open for longer but I personally had no trouble with the opening hours.

I had an amazing time at this hostel. the family style set up and giant kitchen table make it really easy to meet people. The harbour, the sea side swimming pool and the mall are all only 5 minutes away. The bring your own booze option is very useful, especially when planning on going to gilligans across the road for a night out. Just don't rely upon the free meal, the portions aren't really big enough to be classed as dinner, but will keep you going if you're trying to stretch a budget.

For $14 a night you prepare yourself for the worst so coronas was a very nice surprise. The staff were very helpful, friendly and funny. The rooms were incredibly spacious, there's also a fridge in the room for drinks etc. The hostel is located opposite Gilligans right in the heart of the city. It is a 5 minute walk to the lagoon, marina, Cairns central and the clubs and restaurants. Free meal included at the Woolshed, not the best but its FREE! They can also sort out tours with 20% discount!

Quite good overall. But no air conditioner in the room. Very hot at night. The staff is very friendly and nice. The bed and linens are quite dirty. Many bugs.

There was no aircon in our room, what probably explains the lower price. On the whole floor was only one sink, which was only available when no-one was taking a shower there

One of my favorites hostels I've been to, it's very small and not too noisy compared to other hostels, staff is so nice and welcoming, the rooms and kitchen are very clean. It is a very good hostel with great value for money and is well located.

Corona's great! Best location in town, super friendly staff and best value for money. U get a voucher for dinner where u can choose between a free dinner (pasta) or u can do an upgrade which means you can choose from the menu and pay less with the voucher. REALLY good food and very cheap then! Room was a bit dirty though, but all in all totally to be recommended!

Had a great stay. Tayson was very helpful and a cool dude!! Shame he wasn't on at the weekend, the older guy that was on was miserable and rude. Thanks for making us welcome and sorting any problems we had :-)

Great value for money. Tae Sun is a great help and a good guy. I came back twice after overnight trips to GBR & Cape Trib. The free meal at Woodshed is a nice extra (don't expect haute quisine, but good enough for a stomach on a budget).
