You cannot beat the price-value relationship, and the location is excellent, too. They also do tour bookings with the best deal in town - at least i did not find any better. The only thing - there is no card payment possibility at all. So when you take any tour, the prepayment part you have to do in cash (ca 10 %).

Absolutely loved our stay here, didn't know what to expect as it was soooo cheap but it is perfect. Staff are really helpful and accommodating. STAY HERE

I could NOT sit on my bed. That was very uncomfortable.

the staff is awesome!! it's a good bassic hostel! verry nice and coosie chill area on the stairs! always fun! I still have a great time there! good internet facilities in the kitchen till 9.30 pm

as a first experience in a hostel I have to say that I found very well .. on my arrival I was greeted with kindness and professionalism by staff, which showed and accompanied me to my, I must say, clean and comfortable room .. I only spent one night in Corona backpackers, but within itself the atmosphere that reigns between staff and clientele is friendly and jovial and services are good value for money it is really excellent! if I recommend it? yes absolutely!!!!

Corona backpackers was great! For just 14 dollar it is extremely cheap for what you get. You get a 4-bedroom with your own fridge and fan. Corona backpackers is located in the center of Cairns. Its less than 5 minutes walking to either the supermarket or the shopping mall. The staff is really nice and it is very clean! Angelo for the win!

Showers could use upgrade from mixed to private! Good hostel with friendly staff..especially Angelo..what a laid back guy! Nothing too much trouble. Office could be open longer hours. Good discount on trips. Would stay again with no hesitation. Recommended..by me at least!!

Nice hostel, very cheap. The staff is very nice they can help you with everything. You can have discounts on tours and you have a free meal at the Woolshed !

we had an awsome stay at corona backbackers. we got a free meal in the town's best pub/club and the lovely girls at the reception helped us to plan and organize an amazing diving trip to the great barrier reef. thank you :)!

We really enjoyed our stay. Everything was well organized and clean, staff was very helpful, the girls at reception were awesome, all in all definitely recommend staying at this hostel!

This hostel had the most friendly staff of all the hostels we went to. They really went out of their way to make our stay in Cairns awesome! It was a great location in the middle of the city, a short walk to pretty much everything in Cairns. They also give vouchers for a free meal at a local bar which is really good for a free meal and the bar is a lot of fun. We usually would just end up staying there after dinner to hang out at the bar. Plus the hostel gave good discounts and advice for tours

This was a very clean and well-run hostel. The staff were super friendly and always happy to be of service. The ONLY downside to this hostel was the lack of air conditioning, but for $14 per night and a free meal included in that you cannot say much fairer than that! I would recommend this hostel ovr the very noisy Gilligans any day!!!

There are no lockers in the rooms. The cleanliness was sometimes was okay, depended on time. i extended my stay almost every day, which was no problem. the 4 bed rooms are very good for that price. i stayed one night in a 10 bed dorm and of course, you have less space and i felt like the mattress was a bit worse than in the other room. The Hostel is located good. it´s not far away from party and shopping, but quiet enough to sleep there. if you want party in your hostel, better book another one

The Corona hostel was one of my favourite hostels on my journey around aus. Its simple but clean and the staff is more then nice! The location is perfect, because it is right in the center of fun and less then 10 min of foot away from lagoone. I loved it, i am sure you will love it as well:) Thanks Angelo!

i think it is better to full utilize the bathroom as there are 2 bathing area in one bathroom, but when one get into the bathroom, no one can use the other bathing area which is a waste.. but overall, it is great to stay there, especially the staff remember ur name and call ur name when they c u...

We had a pleasant stay at Corona Backpackers. It was very convenient being situated in the centre of town and not too far from the marina. We are not very used to such warm weather and so found the room rather hot at night even with the ceiling fan on. The staff were exceptionally helpful and upgraded our room to a private family one at no extra cost which was a bonus. They were very pleased to spend time with us going through the various activities we wanted to do like walks and reef trips.
