The managers of this small character accommodation are amazing. They assisted with any needs that were presented and my mother hugged them upon departure. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but a home stay option,

The best thing about this Hotel is the staff - Jerry and Sam - who are very helful and friendly, nothing being too much trouble. It is well situated within walking distance of many tourist sights and just off a lively, vibrant street though remaining a quiet oasis. It charming and characterful. Choose a Superior room if you can afford it, though the standard rooms are fine with very comfortable beds. Extremely good value for money I would thoroughly recommend it.

The guesthouse, a courtyard style, discreetly hidden away behind the thoroughfare of the East Drum Tower Road, falls into some of the traps of over-kitsching, with decor, in places tacky, trying to evoke something hyper-Chinese. Despite this, the furniture is all well chosen. The beds are perfect. They provide the best comfort you could possibly find. The smallness of the hotel, some six rooms, also adds to the intimacy and security. Recommended, but don't expect to find authentic China here.
