Great staff, helpfull and friendly. Nice activities every night. Clean rooms with comfty beds. Free WIFI worked perfectly. Gread facilities with climbing gym and cinema. I'd definitely stay again..!

The Crank is OK!!!! not expensive, but clean and quite!!! the staff is young and friendly!!! I enjoy the free wifi and the lounge!!!! big up to Crank Hostel!!!

It was a very clean and ordered hostel. It was very nice, but didn't feel homey... like some of the other hostels I stayed in. The gyn was GREAT, though! I would recommend this hostel!!

The staff were fantastic, really helpful and friendly. But it was quite noisy at night which made it difficult to get a good sleep

was one of the best we have been to. the facilities, workers and the hostel itself was excellent. staff very friendly and helpful and we loved the idea of the gym, climbing wall and movie idea. would definitely recommend it :)

I think this is a very good hostel. One of the best I’ve stayed in in NZ. KITCHEN: 90% Great stoves. Nice storage section, Cuttlery is ok. Bad fans TOILETS&SHOWERS: 80% NO seperate bathrooms for boys and girls. WI-FI: 50% Sometimes it works great, sometimes nothing happens. RECEPTION: 100% Very helpful staff! LOCATION: 100% In the very heart of Rotorua. ROOM: 100% Very nice, Great big wardrobe sized lockers. OVERALL: Go stay here while in Rotorua! You won’t regret it!

Very happy with our stay here, staff were friendly and hostel was clean. Free wifi was also really good. The only problem for me was that no one seemed to lock the door to the room, as it does not lock automatically. Free lockers are provided however, which makes this less of a problem. Good location as well.

A great place to stay in! Friendly n helpful staff, good facilities except WiFi coverage not reaching rooms n kitchen area (we had to run now n then to common areas to catch WiFi), kitchen was spacious n well-maintained, the hostel offered a range of activities with great discounts for its visitors, didnt really like unisex shared bathrooms, but the good thing was those bathrooms were kept relatively clean! In overall, a good value for money!
