Mud tour with Wee is really nice & its price is ok, especially because the money is for a good purpose.

Great location, right downtown with cafes, spa & shopping to walk to. Very nice small private room. Bathrooms were average. Would stay here again.

Great hostel. The bed are not ultra-confortable but the staff is great with a lot of free things (free BBQs on Sunday, free pub crawl...)

The staff is efficient but not overly friendly. There are two kitchens, one on the ground floor and one on the second floor so there is room to put the food in a fridge. The inside tables in the ground floor kitchen are very wobbly so you almost have to eat at the outside which is great if it's not too cold. The 8-bed dorm was fine but it is too bad that the bedroom doors click when closed from the outside. The hostel is close to a grocery store and is a very nice walk to the waterfront.

This is a great place to stay when you are in Rotorua. Great atmosphere and they take the time to schedule activities every evening for the guests. I would highly recommend this place.

It was a very good hostel, centrally located, although I wish there were lockers in the dorm rooms. There were lockers downstairs in the lobby, though. The bathrooms were big and modern, and there was a lot of common space areas to meet other backpackers.

Great hostel in an excellent location! The staff was super friendly and helpful and the facilities were great - especially the hot tub. The free rice, pasta and tea was also a nice touch. Great place - I highly recommend it!

Best hostel i have ever stayed at. We got an ensuite and it was very clean. The best part was the staff and the amenities they have. Highly recommend it.

Overall experience was good, but kitchen at the upper level was not clean, lots of left over around the sink etc. There was no air-conditioning in the room or fan, so a bit stuffy if windows are closed.

Good hostel but very bad for the environment. They don't recycle. The heater is always on, it is to hot in het hostel. So the doors and windows are always open. Very bad!

One of our favourite hostels we stayed in NZ. Chris who runs the hostel is excellent, really friendly & has lots of information about the area. The trip through the hostel to the hot springs was a really fun evening & one of our more memorable tours! There is a very relaxed atmosphere in hostel & good common areas. The free pasta & rice is a nice perk. The only thing was the kitchen could sometimes be quite messy in the evenings but that was down to the guests & it was cleaned every morning.

I really liked staying here. The people were chill and helpful. The bed was clean and comfy. The place had character. Mostly rotorua sucked but crash palace was the saving grace.
