Crash Palace provides quality accommodation for backpackers, groups and budget travelers. Freshly renovated by the owners in November 2012, the 1930's character building has deep funky colors throughout,
New Zealand art fills almost every space, and fresh New Zealand music sets the atmosphere for an enjoyable stay. Geothermal heating ensures free heat and hot showers.
Crash is conveniently located right in the city close to Rotorua's pubs, bars and markets. We are opposite the Millennium Hotel and within 5 mins walking distance of the Main Street, Isite (bus stop), Government gardens, Blue Baths, Polynesian Spa, and a Pac N Save supermarket. With high-speed Wi-Fi Internet, lockers, 2 Kitchens and dining areas, BBQ, outdoor courtyard, spa pool, thermal heating, and friendly service, it's the perfect place to chill and unwind from your travels.
We offer a range of free services, including pasta & rice, tea & coffee and a selection of herbs and spices. You can also get a free spaghetti bolognaise on Fridays in winter and pancakes for breakfast on Sundays!
Free 24hrs Wi-Fi for each booking. WFi is available in each room and we offer high-speed Global Gossip Internet access as well.

WHAT GOES ON: all winter Monday is Poker night, Tuesday is Wii Olympics, Thursday is our movie night with free hot choc and popcorn. Every Friday we have free Spaghetti bolognaise, while Saturdays are for our free pool comp and famous pub crawl and Sunday is free pancakes for breakfast!
Stay with us on Sunday and Monday and your Tuesday is free!
Enjoy a beer or wine in our large sunny outdoor courtyard. Our rooms have windows, heaters extra blankets provided on request. There's also a couple of free bikes and washing and drying service available for just $7. Want to watch the match? We have got live football! You can even request games.
Our staff can share information on our local culture and great spots to visit for free in Rotorua. They can assist you in booking any of Rotoruas many attractions and activities at discounted prices. Fantastic hostel in great location. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly, often referring to you by name making you feel at home. Rooms are cosy and warm in winter and hostel is spotlessly clean. Couldn't fault it, loved my time here!
