The Creole Inn was what I expected from a hostel, I would stay there again. The room was clean, well priced, bug free, and I felt secure walking to and from the French Quarter - about a 15-20 min walk. I would walk back around 1am and didn't have any problems. New Orleans is a safe place as long as you follow simple rules, like walking in well light areas with people around and staying out of trouble situations (like any other city). This was a fantastic place to stay, within walking distance of Bourbon St and the French Quarter. The rooms were spotless and the beds very comfy. The building is beautiful and has a lot of character. The husband & wife team looking after the place were so friendly & welcoming.
