eTom and Anna are very nice! We appreciated that they invited us over for dinner one night! Tom is a good cook! ;) May be a little expensive for what it is, but it's Culebra and it's the only hostel there. Even though the hostel is in the Pueblo (and not in a walkable distance from Flamenco Beach), hitchhinking works very well. We loved spending our evening relaxing on the terrasse!

Super convenient. This is the only hostel on the island and it's a great deal. 1 minute walk from downtown night life, but just far enough away that it's pretty quiet at night if you need to catch some sleep. The hostel just opened a few months ago so the owners are still getting the hang of it, but they are very flexible, nice, and accommodating. They have helpful recommendations, and they keep the place super clean. Also there's amazing air conditioning in the dormitory

If you think about going to Culebra on a shoestring, there is only one choice: Culebra International Hostel. Annie and Tommy are great hosts and provide you with everything you need for a great stay. The rooms are basic, but very clean, quiet and safe. It´s just a very laid-back island and a very great hostel.

The people owning the hostel were super nice and they even made a family style dinner for Easter Celebration. The rooms were very basic, mattresses seemed pretty old and worn out, cats in the dorm, no door but a curtain for the one toilet, and we constantly had to ask for paper for the toilets. The wifi didn't work while we stayed there.

Tom was a great host! The only recommendation is to fix the exposed wires protruding from the shower ceiling- dangerous.

I had a great stay! Everything was perfectly suitable for a couple of kids exploring; the island speaks for itself!! Only admonition is that we had to unplug the a.c. to get power for our phones--but it really wasn't that big a deal, especially in the sublime of Culebra. Annie even gave me fresh aloe from her garden after I got an intense sunburn from naively roaming around shirtless all day. Could have been much nastier without the organic hookups!

Overall this hostel is serviceable, but it's the only hostel on Culebra so you don't have much of a choice for this price range. The beds themselves are in the basement of the house. One room has AC and an ok bathroom. The other room has no AC and a completely unacceptable bathroom (said bathroom has a curtain instead of a door, is bare concrete on the walls and has a pvc pipe for a drain). The beds were uncomfortable because the sheets were polyester and the mattresses were lumpy and thin.

It was okay. Sort of like sleeping in someone's dirty basement. For the price, it couldn't be beat. Plus, one room had airconditioning. All-in-all I enjoyed my stay. I wish there had been kitchen facilities. There was no breakfast included, and no rides to the beach. I did get a ride to the airport. Short of sleeping on the beach, you can't find a better deal anywhere.

Culebra International is a lovely place. The owners are sweet as you please and very helpful in connecting you to things to do on the island. The dorm room and its facilities are very simple but they are perfectly comfortable and tidy.

This was one of my all-time favorite hostels. Ana and Tommy could not have been better hosts! A true gem.

The 4-person room that we were supposed to stay in was overbooked, so we were put up in the "overflow" housing, which was a large 2 bedroom apartment located 10 minutes walking from the hostel. This apartment had no other people living there (that I was aware of). I didn't like how the hostel owners smoked in front of me or sprayed pesticides as soon as I walked through the door. I had uncontrollable coughing for an hour.

Great Atmosphere, with nice owner and other guests from all over the world. Beautiful beach to watch the sunset only 1 min away.

Cheap, clean, great location (walkable the ferry terminal, yet removed enough that you get a feel for the city upon arrival), and friendly staff. The only issue I had was that the showers could have used a little attention in the dorms (water temperature was inconsistent and there was only a curtain for one of the showers, rather than a door).

This is the only hostel on Culebra. The outside area has a nice atmosphere, the owners are wonderful and the location is great. Sleeping can be difficult with the noise, mosquitoes and poor mattress. It can be noisy at night with partying. The dorms have sagging mattresses and a lot of mosquitoes. There are two bathrooms, only one has no door. The dorm room is never locked, and rarely closed. The kitchen has a bar fridge, microwave, toaster and coffee pot - there is no cooking space.

The hostel was in a great location with an awesome balcony for hanging out. It was also very clean, with only one day where the cleaning was poorly done. Overall a great stay and a place I've already recommended to friends.

I only stayed one night, but Tommy (owner) helped me make the most of it. He's very hospitable and genuinely interested in his guests having a great time on the island. Hostel is a 2 minute walk from the town's bars and a quick cab to Flamenco. Next time I'm in Culebra, this is where you'll find me!
