The staff was very helpful and kind, the hostel has a great location downtown. Didn't care for the fact that you had to make your own bed (never had happened to me before) and the infraestructure private bathroom of our 8-bed bedroom was improvised, to say the least. The rest of bathroom (shared ones), were good.

Hot shower and clean rooms. Staff was very friendly and helpful. This hostel is in a excellent location. Breakfast could be better, but it is worth the price you pay. I would book this hostel again.

Very good hostel! Excellent location, funny staff. The bathroom is not perfect, but they are reforming. Room is really clean!

It was the worst hostel I have ever been to. Everything seemed to be improvised with apparent wires and shower handles that fell on the first touch. The staff saved my stay, specially Stephan. But this hostel should be avoided.

Hostel excellent! With its unique identity, brings visitors the experience of being in an environment of a truly international hostel. Very well located, close to the historical and cultural center. The staff is polite, funny and helpful, they make a difference in your stay. Standard international backpacker. Finally Curitiba has a good hostel.

It´s as if someone´s parents went away and the teenager decided to make some money, and make it a hostel. There is no cleaning staff- broken beer bottles, dirty bathrooms, ´kitchen´ was never tidy. The staff is very friendly, but this just isn´t an actual hostel

Most of the staff here are excellent - they really want you to have a good time in Curitiba. But the hostel itself was not so good. There are 3 double rooms, 2 of which are fine (table or shelf, good lighting, but bed and box spring on the floor) and one is unacceptable (bed set on top of a sideways turned dresser, bare light bulb). I think the dorms may be a better deal, although the beds are a rickety. Overall, I paid more here for less quality than anywhere else in Brazil, incl SP &Rio.

I really enjoyed my stay at Curitiba Backpackers. I thought the value was superb for the price. The beds were much nicer than any of the other hostels I've stayed at in South America, and the breakfast was modest but very tasty. The 24 hr tea was also nice :) Additionally, I found the staff to be extremely eager to help, providing good information and activities to do in the city. They all had a welcoming attitude, which made us feel part of a homey albeit temporary community.

I stayed at this place and Curitiba Casa Hostel, the second one is 10 reais more than Curitiba Casa, but if you like to cook you save this money by using the really good kitchen of Curitiba Casa... and you get much better beds and facilities are very clean.. Curitiba Backpackers have a horrible kitchen that is very dirty and messy and the toilets need cleaning... the house has a lot of potential and character, the hostel needs to invest in the place and renovate it and it would be great

The hostel room was very clean, had excellent common areas and very helpful staff. We arrived at 10am and were able to check in early so we could walk around town. the only issue with our room was that we did not have a key. the staff gave us a key which didnt work and then could not find a key that did work. Accordingly room not real secure. other than that, was an excellent stay.

Had a great time, don´t understand where the stories come from that the neighborhood is dangerous, it´s absolute NOT Can need some better showers, or better: people clean up after yourself, don´t leave it wet all over And a cerfew for silence from like 23-07 would not be bad Overall: a place to come back to

Great location. The owner is very nice and makes sure everyone is feeling welcome! The toilets and kitchen are not so clean though, and the organisation could be better. But considering how cheap it is, it's definitely worth the money!
