Average hostel but too far out of town. Nice kitchen and dorms were fine, nice outdoor area too although the indoor eating area was pretty depressing.

Cuyum Mapu is a clean and secure place to explore Mendoza from. It's a 20 min walk from the center but it's conveniently located next to a street full of cool bars. The staff is very helpful and in general it's a very chill place. Pool and patios provide a casual hangout but it is not a party hostal. All major Mendozan activities can be booked at the front desk from vinyard tours to Alta Montana to Skydiving. Internet access is a bit dodgy and the phones are very localized in service.

Pool was a bonus, staff very friendly and helpful. Helped organized bike tour in Maipu as well with directions around the city. Downtown is about a 20 min walk . Nice patio and backyard to sit and relax. There are no bikes for rent in Mendoza other than outside the city on wine tours. I suggest hostel obtain a couple of bikes to rent out to guests?
