Great place to stay before a climb up Mt. Kinabalu. Short walk to the park headquarters. They also have a small shop to buy anything you may need last minute for the climb, I bought gloves and a warm hat, which were much needed. The view is also really nice.

Nice hostel for trips to Kinabalu Nationa Park. The dorm is kind of crowded, but good enough. Only thing, it gets pretty cold at night and the only provide a very thin blanket (charge you RM5 for an extra one).

We arrived in the pouring rain and stayed the next day also in the rain, so to be honest we saw little of the view that I suspect was available from our balcony. There was little space offered to dry our wet clothes. The walls are paper thin and thus we could hear everything from next door.Safety lights in the room and outside the room were on all night, making if difficult to sleep. On the plus side, we had booked 3 nights, the staff gave us the option to pay nightly,no penalty when we left early.

Perfect for a night or 2 around the base of Kinabalu park. Gets cold at night!

We are two 18yr old girls travelling around Sabah. We arrived at this hostel tired and wet after climbing Mount Kinabalu looking for a clean bed and shower, as found in previous hostels. From arrival, we felt very uncomfortable with shifty and unwelcoming staff. The dorm wasn't clean, no A/C

The room - simple but clean. The view from the little private balcony was stunning. Aircon and TV worked, the bathroom was a bit average, but sufficient. The restaurant served great local food, the staff were very nice. The big problem was proximity to the road. If you are planning to stay here before climbing Mt K, think again. The road had trucks, cars and motorbikes all night, and only about 10m from the room. That and the party that was going on down the road = worst night sleep ever.

The accomodation is ok and the staff are friendly but not all that helpful on how to get around the area. Dorms open on to breezeway so security is dependent on people locking the dorm door everytime they leave. Handy location to the national park at food at the hostel is good. Try the ginger honey drink to keep you warm. Yum! They provide a very light blanket

the toilet for triple room too small,

One staff member was very unfriendly and rude, made us feel very unwelcome! Disapointed after being recommended this hostel.
