I found the hostel to be a most enjoyable experience. The facility was very clean and hospitable. The staff was friendly and willing to help with any and all questions. I loved how close the metro station was, just a 4 minute walk ,to get around the city. I met very friendly guests who I will contiue to coresspond with. All in all I had a gret time and will be coming back to DC Trekker the next time I'm in Washington.

DC Trekker is a great place to stay close to everything. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Very Clean and the beds are great. Metro is only 2 blocks away and a short walk to Adams Morgan. Could leave my stuff in room with no problems. I will be staying there my next trip to DC.

I have nothing good to say about this property, no character, too many rules, poor security, staff were unfriendly, 0 fun factor, bathrooms were always dirty and they couldnt even provide me with a map or any helpful information.

I heard in other reviews about the rules, but they didn't seem as hard as described... They merely garanteed the living together with the other people... However, the place was not very well maintaned: there should be at least one cleaner per day to keep it in a good shape. Overall, it's a decent stay in the pricy Washington: only a few blocks from the subway. Hostel doesn't organize any fun activities, but the other guests were very fun to hang out with.

Some rooms are too small, and with the light switch /outside/, in the hallway !

i thought that it was great although it is a tiny bit more expensive than other hostels (40 while others were 30) in the area. staff of two were bit strict on rules but about 4 blocks from columbia heights metro station on the green line.
