My friend and I stayed at Den's Inn for 3 nights as a base to climb mount Fuji. It's a lovely guest house right by the Kawaguchi lake and a short bus ride away to the kawaguchiko station which will take you to 5th station. The chap at reception was really helpful, gave us a lift to the local DIY store so we could buy equipment for the climb. You can use the kitchen in the evening. The dorms and the showers are very good. A great place to meet fellow climbers, Recommended!

Absolutely incredible. The staff here goes out of their way to make this an enjoyable experience for guests and they do little things that you don't see at other hostels!

The stuff was super friendly and the hostel is right next to the nr.17 bus stop. The beds were ok, a bit hard. But all in all a very nice hostel. The Café they run is also pretty good.would dedinately stay there again. Ah yeah The best part is that its close to the lake with a spectacular view on mount fuji.

I booked Den's Inn because I was in Kawaguchiko to hike Mount Fuji. The staff and facilities are amazing and they'll go out of their way to help you with anything you need. The only knock would be its location because its a little ways from the main part of town and the bus stops running at around 6 PM unless you wanna hike a ways to the next bus route. Regardless of this I would highly recommend because it was a great experience and the friendliness of the staff is going to be hard to beat.

Good location even though the hostel is out of the city center in a quieter area. Bikes available! :) The English speaking staff was really helpful and picked us up from station with our luggage for 400 yen and then again next day as we spend too long in Fuji Q highland and there wasn't any buses anymore :D Rooms were clean and cozy and we could see Mt. Fuji from our balcony :) They are mixed, but it's not a problem as showers are private. Really nice hostel, thank you, we had great time! :)

This hostel is a perfect base for the Mount Fuji area. The hostess of the hostel is the best I have met so far. She is really great and helps with everything. Everything is extremely clean, you can lend very good bikes voor free, have good breakfast for 300 yen. Only goods words for this hostel! The only possible complaint could be that is a small hostel so hard to meet other people.

This was the nicest hostel on our trip through Japan. The owner is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is great. It is a little bit out of the way from the train station, but connections are good and frequent. I wish we had booked it for a longer time. I felt slightly uncomfortable that we could not lock the room during absence, but nonetheless felt like a very safe place.

Very small but lovely. Right near the lake and great for quiet evenings. Staff was wonderful. Short bus ride around the lake to main tourist sites. Very good for quiet rest right after climbing Mt. Fuji! Great!

the location has really nice views and is easy accesable during the day. nevertheless after 7pm the shuttlebus stops and a cab ride from kawaguchiko can be quite expensive and there is no nightlife around the hostel at all. but mt fuji five lakes isnt the party region anyway

This hostel was excellent! Had a whole dorm to ourselves, other groups in the hostel that were there, he just made an effort to keep us all separate so we could have our privacy. Balcony, good ac and wifi, computers and bikes to use for free, kitchen and cafe, laundry. A bit far from the station but with the bikes it was all good. Would stay again! The best showers we've had the whole trip.

Excellent welcome. Kohei comes pick you up at the train station, if you request it, for the same price than a bus ticket. If you climb Mont Fuji, you can leave your luggage and take a shower when you'll be back ... without fees ! The place is realy well held, we recommand it without any hesitation. Denis

Lovely little hostel with a great view of Mt Fuji on clear days. Facilities include use of kitchen, washing machine and dryer, wifi and bikes. 2 minute walk from lake kawaguchiko and some nice authentic Japanese restaurants are close by. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend this hostel to other travelers.

The hostel is in a great location just opposite the bus stop so its easy to get to from the station. The owner was really helpful recommending places to eat and helping with directions. I was staying with my boyfriend and we were upgraded to a twin from a dorm as one had become available for no extra cost. Also the hostel has a few bikes which are available for free which were a great way to see the area.

Very nice place. It's a little far but with the bikes it's very easy to travel to the tourist locations. Close to some good food places which is always good. But make sure you have a bike.

Great little place with a very homely and modern feel. Rooms are upstairs with cafe downstairs. Free bike rental is a bonus and staff were very friendly and helpful. If you are coming from Kawaguchiko station, do NOT catch the taxi as it is far too expensive. Try and catch the retro bus (1200 yen for a two day pass or 380 yen for one ride to the hostel, stop at Music Forest. Den's Inn is directly opposite.) If you miss the last bus call the staff at Den's Inn to pick you for 400 yen.
