Probably one of the best hostel I've stayed at. The staff were all smart, friendly, helpful and extremely beautiful girls who were very professional. The hostel has an eccentric mix of locals and travellers and everyone was very kind and friendly. Druzi cafe offered great food for cheap prices and the hostel organised good tours too. I was sick with food poisoning and the staff helped look after me. Good location too, and for some reason the music in the hostel is awesome.
It was phenomenal. The dream girls are so helpful. The atmosphere there is cozy and warm and everything you could ask from a new years eve holy day. Thanks again for everything.
All was good but would help to make sure the dorms are bedrooms for sleeping not an all night working space like room 37 which has a desk and a guy on his computer all night. For the rest the hostel was great, especially amazing and very helpful staff. Highly appreciated all the tips and directions and would happily stay here again next time :)
This is a nice hostel. Friendly staff and the cafe on site is really chilled and the food is good. The kitchen isn't great though. Food gets stolen constantly and there's no oven or toaster which I thought was a little weird. It's a big hostel with plenty of opportunity to organise events for the guests like pub crawls or city tours. Drink offers at the bar would encourage more guests to drink there rather than in the kitchen too.
Still havin' a good time here. Amazin' hostel for an amazin' city
Nice, modern hostel with a great restaurant attached. A little weird how the bathrooms are male/female and unless you wanna try and deal with stuff or change your clothes in a bathroom stall or a wet shower thers no place to do so. Other than that its really nice.
This is an excellent hostel. The staff go out of there way to be helpful. The location, facilities, cleanliness are all great. The restaurant is also really really good and serves a variety of tasty dishes. I highly recommend nThe Dream House.
This hostel allows people to live in their dorm rooms. In mine there were two older Ukrainians who didn't speak English and who had taken over the room with their things. The point of staying in a dorm is too meet other people and it wasn't easily done here. The common area gets all the noise of the bar and makes it difficult to communicate there. I also woke up with bug bites all over my arms. Not a place I'll return to.
The receptionists should be more helpful without giving attitude.
Everything that one would want in a hostel, clean, quiet, secure. The staff are an absolute credit to this place with everyone making your stay as comfortable as possible. Absolutely nothing to complain about with Dream House, will definitely be staying there on future journey's to kiev.

The location was a bit out from the city centre, but in a nice area. Rooms were clean and pleasant with lockers provided. Staff helped to organise a trip to Chernobyl, and let us shower before check in. The shower rooms were shared but relatively clean. The kitchen was small but well maintained. The laundry service wasn't working when we were there, disappointing. There is a nice cafe/bar attached, which filled up in the evening. Nice atmosphere.
Really friendly and helpful staff
absolutely fantastic hostel. good location.was very busy, but it's very clean and modern. facilities were great and there is an on site cafe bar that is also very popular with locals. Only fault was the showers were often cold. we would stay again.
Fantastic modern hostel in a beautiful, quiet and still center located area of Kiev. The rooms and bathrooms, toilets are clean. I liked the stlye of the hostel, the reception area with the always nice and supportive staff, ready to answer every questions. The Druzi Cafe in the same building is also a cool place to start or end the day. Would definitely come back. The metro is also not far away.
It was a nice stay in a very interesting city with friendly people :)
I stayed in a private room so I cannot comment on the social aspect. The private room was nice but as it was a loft conversion the ceiling slopes down so mind your head when you get out of bed! The girls at reception were helpful. There is an adjoining cafe which I did not visit but it seemed busy enough. The hostel is located near the bottom of Andrew's Descent so be prepared for a strenuous uphill walk if you want to walk to St Sophia's Cathedral and Independence Square. The area was very nice
Great hostel! Loved having food onsite with menu in English. Facility clean and updated. Staff friendly and helpful. Good location near grocery, beautiful courtyard. Inexpensive for private room but do keep in mind private rooms are in basement-not a bad thing, just be aware because rooms are tiny with no air circulation. Every time I opened the basement window my little room was filled with cigarette smoke. I wish there was a little fan in the room. No dryer meant I wore wet clothes for 3 days.
Nice location, and lots of areas to meet other travellers. Don't bother with a private room if you're after quiet though - they're next to the washing machine which is so loud and people start using at 6am, also next to the kitchen which is supposed to close at 11pm but on each night had people in there after 1am shouting/being very loud (no door on the kitchen!) also bathroom in basement has no toilet - just shower and urinal so need to go up two floors to go the toilet in the night!
It was a lovely stay, everyone was really helpful every time we needed! The location couldn't be better, the Andriyivskyy Descent is really a dream place. Thank you very much! =D
