The location is good (on old Arbat), but this is the only asset of this hostel. The staff is ridiculously slow and inefficient, but the worst thing of staying in this hostel was the apparent hygiene of the beds: The sheets and beds must have had flees or bed bugs (maybe the reason why the hostel was closing for a 'sanitary day', even though I had made a booking for the entire week). Thanks to a stay in Da!-Hostel, I have animal bites all over my arms and they are itching. Thanks a lot!
It's a nice place to stay I like it.just I don't like the wash room.

I´ve booked this hostel based on the good reviews but turns out that the place is awful. The dirtiest place ever, not to mention the bad staff. Ah, and the elevator ... seems it is not working since ... always. Would never stay there again neither recommend it. Stay somewhere else!
too noisy after 11 pm. Though the hostel put the notice to be quiet after 11 pm., when informed this to hostel he said they are students so they are supposed to be noisy. So, hostel couldn't provide best service to all customers. Just only for the majority of hostel's customers.
i stayed in Da hostel for four days. honestly its location is good, however the way to find the hostel is hard n the entry of the hostel is terrible. also the bathroom is rather clean. there are onky two showers for men. n the lights in the showers are not enough, i need to take a quick shower in the dark everytime. also...the lift is never working so i need to take the long stairs everytime i go back hostel. Tiring. the kitchen is dirty too.
Reception isnt too keen to smile, Seemed Too busy with the guests, it took me 75 minutes to check in and 45 minutes to check out.

I never felt so right about choosing somewhere to stay :) Place has a great location , good beds , clean and highly sufficient kitchen and extremely warm environment. Staff were very helpful and warm :) If they see you sick they get you vitamin c or helpful drugs, if they think that you're sad or unsatisfied they just ask you if something is wrong :) This is the only place i actually felt like a guest rather than some customer for the first time :) Thanks for wonderful moscow experience :)
The hostel is very good located, direct on the Old Arbat, near by a metro station. Only sheep super markets are a bit far away. I was surprised to meet so many Russian guests. Facilities in the hostel are nice. I liked the big room on the first floor which was a combination of common room and kitchen. Only the toilettes could be more often cleaned. My four-bed dormitory was well sized, comfortable and clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful!
Entrance with dirty shoes smells really bad. Really hot bedrooms and difficult to sleep. New and clean facilities. 5 floors with broken elevator..... Please, repair it now!!!!!!! Good location.
Great place, incredibly new and brand new sheets and pillowcases feel amazing to go to bed to after long days/nights out in Moscow The lift was broken when I was there but who cares about carrying your bags up a few flights of stairs? What are you a pussy? I really liked it that every bed had its own dedicated shelf next to it with 2 power sockets, also the lockers in the room are big! Jenny the manager is amazing and can help you find what you are looking for :)
Da! is one of the best hostels I have ever stayed in. The hostel is right in the center of Moscow, Old Arbat, only about 10 min walk to Kremlin. Close to Metro station. There is a good kitchen, clean beds, shower, towels. Everything what is needed for the perfect stay in Moscow. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. Nice, warm and friendly people stayed in the hostel. I've met a lot of wondeful people at that place. Many good memories are still on my mind. Perfect hostel.
The elevator of the hostel was broken and it was located in the 4th floor... As well as the bathroom from the first rooms, so we had to use the up stairs bathrooms, which was very dirty.
This hostel looks great from the website but it was really disappointing. It was clean enough and there were all the essentials but it was clear that staff didn't care about your stay there or your time in Moscow. When we arrived the girl at reception told us we should do the registration there (for 500 rubles) - which for our visa we didn't need - but then didn't make it clear if the hostel required it or not and so we didn't bother.
Hard to find without map, you have to go in through the back of old arbat 11, which is in a side street. Reception in the 5th floor, elevator was broken when I stayed there. Staff friendly and helpful (english speaking) with some excerpts. No wi-fi at my room, in the kitchen good wi-fi. Very good location in arbat street, metrostation around 10 min away.
The staff at the hostel were really helpful, especially when I had some confusion about train stations when departing.
Brilliant location. But hostel is more like a hotel, lack of atmosphere. Also showers+toilets combo is terrible - toilet is more like a sauna if somebody takes shower at the same time. But anyway it's great value for money. Most probably will stay there again.
Easy to find, near all facilities, unfortunatly lift broken and 4 floors to climb with baggage.....only spoilt by last night group chinese students doing masses of laundry in girls toilets and leaving scum and rubbish everywhere!
I really liked the hostel, even though when I arrived there, they didn't have my reservation. Fortunately, they could offer me the same room type as I had originally booked. Maybe it was my late arrival that had confused them, even though I had informed them about it in advance in order not to cancel my booking. Otherwise hostel was clean and comfortable. However, the big minus was that even in female dorm there was no socket nearby the mirrors. It made hairstyling challenging ;)

Directions are perfect to get to this hostel. As a person that gets lost easily...I didn't get lost at all! :) Nice new hostel and secure with key cards to get in and out. The common area is great and the kitchen is great for cooking. Although the day I left I THINK I saw bed bugs on the underneath of bunk above me. Over all I enjoyed my stay here! :)
