I went for the cheap dorm, so the bed was a bit soft for my taste- but even that was value for money as it was very cheap... and I got an apartment with a decent bathroom. Osama the receptionist was first class, and before you could say Yalla, he had arranged my kitesurfing lessons, my trip to the Blue Hole for snorkelling and the hike up Mt Sinai. He really went out of his way in every respect - true hospitality. Good location too!

Note that the hostel is for diving, and therefore is next to the sea and a 10 minute/7 dinar taxi ride from the city centre. The nearest ATM is a 15/20 minute walk away. Stayed one night. Door was jammed badly, and there was no door in front of the ensuite which was annoying - only a sheet, which fell down. Food was good - the salads were excellent.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Location right next to Lighthouse Snorkling, and good restaurants. The rooftop bar is a great way to relax at the end of the day. The bathroom, could use a shower curtain/ door etc. And we were woken by the mosque 'call to prayer', which was a suprise on the first evening. Maybe a pre warning would be good.

The hotel offers a good all round package including both dorms and rooms, pool area, nice indoor bar, rooftop bar with a great view of the bay and a breakfast with free coffee, tea and water. The SCUBA school located at the front of the hotel and i think a discount on the rooms are offered when booking dive packages. I booked into the dorms which were good value at £4 a night but decided to have a look around Dahab and found alternative accommodation for less and my own room. The male dorms hav

Mostly great, has the best facilities of any hostel I've stayed in as you are staying in a larger resort, staff are very helpful and friendly and the location is fantastic. Not so great were the bugs (which survived the dorm being fumigated) and the atmosphere which was a little more expat/package holiday than traditional backpacker hostel. Overall great place though, especially at the price.

I love this hostel. The staff was super friendly. The dorms were clean. The dive centre attached is first class. I planned a couple of days, stayed for two weeks. Best breakfast I've had in a hostel. Yes, there's the odd bug--its the tropics folks. No bed-bugs, no ants, no worries. And as for Egypt, just go. You'll be so glad you did.

This place was brilliant value and a great place to meet people as a solo traveller. The staff, especially Osama and Said, were really friendly and there is a nice bar on the premises. I didn't try the pool as it was a bit cold but its great that guests staying in the dorms can use all the facilities The breakfast was buffet style so you could have as much or as liitle as you like and the location was right in the centre of things.

I wanted to stay much longer in Dahab to explore the mountains but had to leave prematurely because internet in Egypt is not so good. The staff here are excellent and courteous and the breakfast a real treat. The place is beautiful and well kept. I can't imagine anyone having any problems here at all!

Very friendly, helpful staff who did their best to help! Good location right by the beach walk and the lighthouse. Seaview from the dorm beds:) Is actually part of the hotel Red Sea Relax with some shared facilities. Cleanliness is not what Egypt is known for and this is no exception; bathrooms are kind of OK, pillows and blankets could use a trip to the cleaners! Good breakfast, but random cockroaches on the floor and tabletops should be expected. good value for money, I can recommend it!
