Near to Tahrir sq. and Egyptian museum. We stayed during protests and the staff were comforting and concerned for our safety - but the area even with the political situation felt safe day and night. Room was good, they upgraded us for the same price. Had hot water first day and luke warm the rest. Wi-fi fine, lots of cats although a little shy / scared. Happy with tours and staff. Only problem was our room leaked mosquitoes.

If your not a fan of cats do not go here, so of them were deformed and not so nice. The bathrooms were clean and the location was good, the staff were helpful aswell. The rooms are quite small.The hostel had a pretty good vibe.
