The staff at this hostel were very friendly and helpful and the facilities were clean. The hotel is quite far away - the bus to and from the city centre comes only twice an hour.

It is a pity this hostel is so far from everything. A 25 minute bus ride to the city, and only a very basic convenience store within walking distance. Mini golf course and pool is nice. You also must clean your own room before leaving. Some staff were helpful, others were not, and quite regularly reception was unattended for long periods of time. We would stay closer to civilisation next time.

I liked being away from the city and out in beautiful nature, but at the same time, touring is more difficult while depending upon bus transportation. Would be a perfect hostel if travelling by rental car.
The hostel offered great amenities, like breakfast, swimming pool, mini-golf, football field, and walking trails nearby.

It would help if there were saucepans and forks in the kitchen that they provide for their guests. The staff were very helpful when we needed it however we did not see them to give them at the time we would have liked to use the kitchen to give them the opportunity to help as the staff are closed after 3pm at the weekend and it was a Sunday night and we left on the Monday morning. Overall our stay was very enjoyable. The rooms were lovely and warm and all common areas were kept clean. The location of the hostel is excellent as you get to wake up and see a fresh blanket of snow out your window each morning.
Longer hours on the reception would be welcome and some of the staff have quite poor english which makes communicating a little tricky.

We had to wait 30 minutes outside in the cold, for someone to open the door, no one turned up so we managed to get in through a door in the back, showing how good security is. Still no-one on reception even with us ringing the bell and it being open. Thankfully some Swedish man came and helped us and rang the reception up for us where we finally got our key.. Nice hostel if you can't find anything nearer to the city center. Worth the price, good breakfast, happy hour bar, perfect bus connection (nightbusses only on the weekends). Unfortunately one of the staffmembers couldn't tell us anything about the bus tickets, which is a shame. You can get a 24 houres pass (tram, bus und ferry!) for 60 SEK (a single one-way ticket costs 25-50 SEK!), which is the best way to explore the city. A taxi is 200-400 SEK depending on the time you take it.
