This place was absolutely amazing. The rooms and bathrooms were spotless clean, the staff spoke enough English and they understood enough of my bad Chinese to communicate effectively, and I felt very safe as it's far away from a lot of people. That last point though is a double-edged sword as twice I got lost for hours trying to find this place with a map and even the taxi drivers I used got lost and just dropped me off near the hostel and I had to look for it on my own. But it's worth it!

Great hostel! Unfortunatly, the location isn't too good. It's near Zhongshan square, but the taxi can't find the place. If you want to get near the hostel easily, try asking the taxi to get you to the Foreign language university (Dalian Wai guo yu xue xiao) or take a bus that get you there. From there, it's a 5 min walk to the hostel. For the rest, the place is realy great and the staff realy helpful.

Very good overall. I was quite comfortable and made friends with the other guests. The hostel could improve by having some more pamphlets about dalian- things to do, places to eat, etc.

This hotel is very nice and friendly. The host know how to do with young people. We feel we are welcomed here. Taxi drivers do not know how to get there, however as soon you know the city its easy to find (why they do not know?). The street is quiet and the neighborhood nice.

I read the reviews for this hostel and thought the worst. But it was actually a really nice hostel. The staff was very helpful and kind. Previous reviewer had complained about hot water and it was not problem at all during my stay. Clean, basic rooms, great staff!

Thanks to the surrounding historical residential area, here would be recommended particularly to those who seek a quiet and relaxing place to stay during a trip in noisy and bustling China. The hostel itself also has cozy common spaces and bedrooms, and kind staffs. Besides, their friendly dog was memorable.

It was a bit challenging to get there the first time, our taxi driver basically gave us a neighborhood tour trying to find it. But once we did, it was perfect for our one night there. Bathrooms are clean. Our beds were comfy. A bit chilly. Super easy to get to the center of town and the bus that drops there goes everywhere we wanted in town. Would recommend if you are looking for a convenient place for a night, just make sure you have their number to get directions!

No hot water in the shower, no heating in the room, The staff put the heating just a moment before bedtime. Need to call the staff after midnight to come back. Not so good

Staff was extremely helpful with giving directions around town and also booking train tickets for a small fee. Hostel location was a little difficult to find at first and if you come into town at 5PM during the taxis shift change, be prepared for a battle when trying to hail one. Location was OK, about 5minutes walk from transportation points to Dalian's action. Overall, good experience.

A great hostel! The staff were super-friendly and very helpful in getting around Dalian as well as China. They even helped me acquire a few beers late at night! Ha ha. I would definitely recommend it. The location was a quick walk to the center of town and the bus stop was not far from it. I was there in the winter so the hostel was very sparsely populated, but I would love to come back in the summer months. Overall, a great hostel.
