good place to stay, although a little bit far from town and beach but with the free scooter hire and the very helpfull staff you can get around easily and if ypu don't like to be in the middle of it all (the Kuta hectic) it's the place to be (almost where th elocals life). Shopsa nd warungs are walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and we'll be back! See you soon Putu and thanks for your help!!!

the staff were very helpful and took us round the whole island for free! the hostel is in a quiet location but you are given a moped for your stay for free so it is very easy to get to places. all in all very friendly and helpful staff and we would recomend staying here. p.s. lovely breakfast :)

Very nice room, nice staff, good breakfast. Free scooter is a must considering the bad location of this hostel. There is not much to do around and with all the traffic it is not fun to get around on the scooter. Plus you can't have a precise map, so its more than easy to get lost. But the friendly staff make it up for the random location.

This place was fantastic!! They were extremely accommodating and always smiling! It is a decent motorbike ride from Kuta, however the area that they are in has sooo much character. I would highly recommend it!!

I had a great time at Dana Guesthouse. Your guesthouse is in a convenient location for getting around, and relaxing. The morning breakfast and coffee that was cooked up and served everyday was a great way to start the day. Thanks Putu for taking me on the scooter trip to see the coffee/cocoa/tobacco/etc., farm, volcano, temple, rice paddies and much more. That was a great experience for me and a wonderful way to see all the different sites on the island. You are a fabulous guide and friend!

This hostel was almost good. I would say it is good for 20-something males who come to Bali exclusively for surfing and wont mind the bachelor pad feel to the place. As far as cleanliness goes, its OK if you were expecting to camp. In fact, I would reccommend bringing your hammock to sleep in a tree out front because you dont want to sleep in the beds there.

It's quite a cute place, but far for everything!!! You have to take a taxi to go anywhere, so it can get very expensive and you don't meet other people.

they offer airport transportation but after waiting for 1hour we had to take a taxi anyways and pay 11500rp but they did pay us back. the people at the reception are really nice. the location is not very good because it is far away from the beautiful beaches and the bars but the food is cheaper in the area. the room was clean although no lights in the bathroom. overall it was just enough for 2days stay. i would recommend this place.

This is a gorgeous little place to stay and the free airport pick up is great! It is a bit far from many places you may want to visit but the free motorbikes are great. The staff were very friendly and helpful and I thought it was excellent value for money.

Located far from touristy things but in a nice quiet lane where you can see how local people live. The staff where all very nice. The man who runs the place took us on day tours and was very informative and chatted to us a lot about Balinese life. Very nice garden courtyard area to sit and chat with other guests. The washroom was very small and a little smelly and only had a toilet and shower. There was only one sink for everyone to share and it was in the courtyard.

We liked the rooms and the staff here but unfortunately this guesthouse is very hard to get to. They offer airport pickup but since our flight was delayed by over an hour, we decided to take a taxi. The driver got very frustrated as he couldn't find it-- the location is pretty obscure and not that close to restaurants, the beach, etc. That said, if you are able and willing to drive a motorbike (we didn't know how) you might be ok!
